It's gone way beyond "is negro a bad word". It's genuinely about if Luis Suarez is a racist because if Evra's account is true that then that is the conclusion or at least that he did say something racist. Seems flimsy evidence to convict someone on. It looks like it's come about due to inconsistencies in the Suarez's account

I just remember this game against Brum at Anfield when he first joined when he was absolutely electric. We drew 2-2 but he was other worldly going forward. I think dus may be right and he's picked up heft

He did. I can see how he can do better but he is doing some of the basics well like ball carrying and he is the only one at the moment who you think is going to carry yhe ball down the pitch. He is also beating players more regularly. I think he does this better from the right. -
Nah. I just think they are different players. Kinda like the difference between Xabi and Iniesta. Obviously not anywhere near the quality. YES! It's only taken 5 years.

I think Lucas has helped him out in this regard yeah I agree with you on the difference between the two players. Shelvey is constantly looking to make things happen.

Yeah. Weirdly it looks like the one thing you can expect from him is that he will get chances. If you look back from even his first league start from Sunderland youi'll see that he get chances. He's missed a load but the fact that he's getting chances does show an instinct there. Like I said I think we may just have to leave him up top and write off inticate passing or build up from him.

I'm in the camp that want him in the team and Kelly left on the bench for now. I think he keeps the ball really well and has a lot of craft for a full back but does anyone think he's lost some of his dynamism from when he first arrived?

I just thought it was less good. I don't necessarily think that we've controlled games but we have created chances. I don't think we controlled it today but we created less chances than normal. I don't think we played as well as we have for most of this season.

I've been railing against people saying that our problem has been not controlling games as I have thought that the problem has been not scoring the chances. Today However I thought we really did look devoid of ideas and brainless. Until Stevie came on. Gosh he was good.
