I think I largely get your point and sympathise* with it. But where you say I understand your sentiment but I also think don't think that all of those people who chanted at eto'o are what some would call them I doubt they are even all racist. They've found a way to get to a barcelona player but i don't think once they leave the stadium they find other races unacceptable. In that sense it is a problem that stays within football and within the ground. I just think it's c***. Maybe it's because i view a lot of things through an individualistic framework where the individual is responsible for what they do. I look at a human being and think how can you rejoice in the death of an innocent or at the very least someone who did nothing to you because they died in a tragedy? Which part of your humanity has switched off not to be concerned about the hurt it causes to those who remain or are emotionally attached. Twinned with this I also look at a human being and think which part of them can dehumanise and abuse another human being soley because of pigmentation. It's the same coin for me. I know you isolated racism as a societal ill and thus has greater ramifications and your point would carry more intellectual weight than mine, but for me i can't get past looking at a person who does either of those things and wondering how. I also accept i've never been neglected by the GMP.

I'd just view a Kewell Owen/defoe partnership in the same was as an aimar Villa relationship. I don't think it's that left of centre to be fair. I wouldn't play it in every game because i like to see crouch out there but it would be my first choice. I don't think kewell garcia is comparable to a kewell owen/defoe as the latter two can get in behind thus leaving kewell to drop off

We played some great football with Kewell just off Owen and Kewell had a good partnership with bridges. And Arsenal until Adebayor didn't have a target man and even then long term i think they will go with RvP and Henry. Even though I thinkcrouch is good enough we can use him as and when we need him. He doesn't have to be our a,b,c,d and e plan.

On a very simplistic level Garcia's great and Nando is shyte so keep the good one I'd replace mori within the squad with Kewell and have Gonzalez and Zenden play it out for LM. I think we only need one RM and one striker. Garcia and SWP/Pennant/whoever on the right should be enough. It still leaves us with a pool of 4 cms in momo goes to specsavers. Up front we'll have a choice of Kewell, Crouch and imo opinion Owen or defoe or someone like that. I think we'll keep fowler as rafa said he won't be fit til next season so he's looking at it long term. We've got Pongy to replace him anyway. Maybe we'll get that Aurelio as LB on a free, I don't know. I think we'd be able to cover that outlay
