  1. Oooooft. f***ing golf clap for Collymore, that's eviscerating.
  2. He has died at the age of 85. Shanks brought him in from Rangers for £20,000 at the age of 22 after he lost his place in the Rangers side to the great Jim Baxter. A left-half, he was one of the mainstays of the Shankly era, missing only 9 games in his first four full seasons. His medal collection at Liverpool included first division titles in 63-64 and 65-66 and he was also part of the famous FA Cup win in 64-65. From what I remember of Ian St Johns's autobiography, he was one of the bachelors in the team with more disposable income than the guys who had families, and he became known for his beautifully tailored suits. He also said that he was known within the club as Bill Stevenson but for some reason the name "Willie Stevenson" took off externally. According to Wiki, the arrival of a 19 year old Emlyn Hughes saw him replaced in the team in 67-68 and he was moved on to Stoke City at the end of the season. He also played for Tranmere Rovers, Vancouver Whitecaps, Limerick and Macclesfield Town
  3. No, but I did amuse myself with the idea that by "waterworks" he means he keeps pissing himself at the wedding
  4. We've already replaced him though? Yeah he'll be very satisfied and have no regrets after this
  5. Yeah I think so. Few good signings to fill in our areas of deficiency and we're going to be in for a monster season
  6. I don't know about this but I wish they'd put someone else on it. Enough with this s***. There's a whole celebration going on and all we're looking at is Trent
  7. I hate the home kit and hated the one it was apparently modelled on but that third kit is sex
  8. Yeah Iet's normalise calling him his old name til he feels pressured to change his current awful name. Admittedly, some might think I'm in no position to pass judgement on people's name choices
  9. I think it's possible Sami had a bit to say and it got edited out, although Gerrard was certainly butting in a lot
  10. Saw this before and it was a weird watch. Both Rafa and Sami are relaxed and jovial while Gerrard seems to be wound completely tight and struggling to show any warmth towards Rafa even while he's trying to acknowledge his qualities
  11. The blunder by Solanke, f***ing hell. That was the game
  12. If it's for using homophobic epithets or saying broadly homophobic things in the 00s, then probably lots of people really. It's all a bit yikes.
  13. EDIT: Accidental post from me, nfi what happened there
  14. If these are lies, they're the lies I need to hear
  15. I rate him and he's done some good work for us, but it's defo been a bit like this. I'd keep him, mind.
  16. Yep, I'm actually now just really excited about having a good defensive right back and a change in the system. Will be very interesting to see who we buy if Bradley isn't the chosen one.
  17. Well no, not at all, no, but I would very much rather lose to Brentford or someone
  18. Yeah he had a good game. He's better bearded like that too
  19. Yeah all of the above. Obviously plenty of reasons why he'd put this team out but would have loved to have beaten these horrible c****. Pushing them out of CL contention would be a worthwhile human endeavour too
  20. This is a huge factor in our favour now and one which might have hobbled us otherwise
  21. Stay put FSG! I wonder if there's ever a window of opportunity again. Remember asking this in here once and someone said the opportunity will never be repeated. It really is a shame.
  22. Anyway, it's a f***ing GOALLLLLLLLLLL get the f*** in there. You're not gonna rob us of our spontaneous release of joy you c***
