Why do people believe we are going to sign Alves and Pennant? With money tight, I'm pretty sure it's one or t'other. I think a deal has been lined up with Pennant as insurance against it all falling apart with Alves. Otherwise, the Pennant deal would have been concluded by now. Betcha I'm right PS my personal view is that Rafa is looking to get, in addition to Aurelio, Gonzalez and Paletta, Alves, one striker, one central midfielder, and possibly a reserve keeper. My gut feel is that funds will not run further and so we might try and get sinama to stay for a while.
