United used to fall into this trap with players and we would feck all for 30 odd years. Then Ferguson turns up and expects players to actually deliver or they were out the door. United kept the ball for long periods and Liverpool didn't. As has been mentioned before; United really did put pressure on any Liverpool player with the ball, Liverpool allowed United players to pretty much roam at will and you paid the price. Sorry guys; your tactics were wrong, your players couldn't keep the ball, some of them weren't interested and some of them are not going to win you the league. Loyality to individual players is nice, but you don't win leagues with loyality to nice players
