Nihat would be an interesting buy. Personally I'd rather someone with prem experience as it would be a bit less of a risk I guess.

I always find this very strange as well. We've got a very tall side yet we get zip all from corners.

Obviously a player like Zlatan Ibrahimovic would be brilliant for us playing a 4-5-1 but he's out of our league price wise. We'll probably sign 2 strikers who most of us have never heard of but if it was up to you... Personally I think we have to wait until the end of the season to see which strikers have found their feet before making decisions but I'd obviously take Owen back and or Defoe. Also Jakubu and or Mutu I think would be worth a gamble. What about you? Recommend 4 strikers who you think we could afford and who can actually score.

Agreed. Our pool of strikers would be fine if at least one of them was a 20 goal man. Say Owen for Cisse with Moro and Crouch supporting him. Unfortunatly that one ingredient of finishing has left us. Not sure if it's bad luck, confidence or what. Perhaps the forward pair never settle as none of them get long runs of games together except Crouch. Who knows.

It's easy to pin point why. We've bought dreadfully in the forward department. That's it really. Not one goal from our strikers so far this year.

I love to know why we've not left Riise at LB for the last few games. We were tight with him there. Of all the players in our back four that look like they could runforever Riise would be it.

Come on Liverpool. One sheaky goal for us and it could all change. I guess we're getting caught on the break as we push for goals.

I just hate our own players getting ripped into by our own fans for rubbish reasons.Fair enough if it applies to every player but it clearly doesn't.

How many more times are you going to tell us it's Dudek's fault? You usually post reasonable posts but the witch hunt for Dudek is f***ing sad. Do you think it helps? I didn't see one post blaiming Reina for his foul and then childlike stupidity in getting sent off at the weekend. f*** sakes..

Chill everyone. If we can turn it around second half perhaps we'll go on a run. P.S. If Raffa can sell Crouch, Moro and Cisse at half time and bring in a couple of actual strikers we'll be in business second half!

I thought he'd at least get a hand to it considering the angle. Seemed to close to his post that's all. No hidden agendas at all. Just wondering if everyone else thought it was a unstoppable shot or if the goalie could have made it more difficult.

I don't know why Riise didn't play LB other than Raffa needed him at LM more than LB. Other than that the only issue I have with the squad is the poor return from our forwards. We would have made all that domination count if we had the class of Crespo up front for us. That's what's frustrating but I'm sure it'll be sorted in the summer. It's strange because for as long as I can remember the one area we were always fine in was up front. Now for the first time in years the rest of the team is excellent and it's only the forward line holding us back. I think Cisse is gone and I'm still 50/50 on Morienties. I think if we were offered a decent amount in the summer Raffa would take it and use the case along with the Cisse cash for one top class forward. I'm also not 100% on Crouch. I think if he wants to remain in this team he's going to have to improve dramatically over the next season or two.He won't be sold this summer but unless he sorts out his heading and starts to become a threat then next summer he'll be gone too. I do wonder if we swap the forward line around too much. No one has time to gell with the rest of the team and their partner up front. I don't know if our forwards are stupid or if it's just the lack of games together than sees them often making the same runs as eachother and getting in eachothers way.

As soon as he went off I thought Chelsea broke forward at ease. He's not pretty but he's effective. Gerrard cannot do what Sissoko does and visa versa.

Gallas the big t*** should have been given a red too as he raised his arms and even had a few swings if I remember. Personally I thought it wasn't even a yellow as the tackle was perfect. He got the ball, It wasn't from behind but from the side and although his feet were raised he was playing away from the player not into him. Yet again Gudjonssons play acting was what got a Liverpool player booked. Alonso and now Reina. Out of interest I wonder would a player get suspended for a much longer time if he properly decked him. None of this silly pinching. Next time just knock him out Reina.

Crouch is an intellengent player in the scholes mould but he's not an out and out forward. Defenders are happy playing against him as everything is played away from goal. We have loads of the ball, but create fook all prpper chances and when we do he's about as good as I am at heading the ball and I'm half his size and w*** at heading. He's an option from the bench when desperate but not a lead the line man.

Personally I'd have Baros over Crouch and Cisse any day. Things happen from him msyhem that doesn't happen anymore. He runs the line brilliantly and causes hassle all game. We miss him big time now.

That was the thing that really pissed me off tonight. No one helped out our goalie only Del Horno as he's Spanish. Pub teams back eachother better than we do. Gerrard hides in situations like that and it's sad. Wonderful player all season but he's not got that edge you need when it counts. Not a big thing but I'd be f***ed off if I wasour goalie. Carra as well should have been in there.

I thought we'd lose 1 or 2 nil to be honest and we did. No big deal. We could have made up the points on ManU against Brum so this game was always a nothing game for me. The whole thing panned out as expected. Can't get too upset. Amazingly we dominated the first half AGAIN and ended up losing. No surprise. We have no strikers. That's it really. We are a solid quality team that can match the like of Chelsea and their millions but we have the worst forward line I've ever seen. That's it in a shell. 2 good forwards in the summer and we'll be a propper team. No dissing players today at all for me. We were good except we have a s**** forward line.
