  1. Agreed but we've ended up here and I'd rather have them up front v Arsenal than no forwards like last year. Isak, Ekitike and Wirtz are the "next level" signings but there has to be someone between them and a 17 year old. We have a lot of 3 games a week coming up and I don't see Isak playing 65 games in a row. Barcola has the potential to be next level in the next few years I'd hope. I basically want the new manager to have options and a decent squad. That's it really. If we find better and cheaper then great. Whatever. But with the current squad the manager will be gone next summer and we'll be here again.
  2. Agreed. They are at the apex of what you can "comfortably ignore" as owners. Rich enough to be competitive but not rich enough to own the world. It's tricky this footballing supporting stuff.
  3. We 100% need to replace Mo. We've never replaced Diaz so the interest in Barcola is promising. If we got those two wide players (Barcola for the left and ??? for the right) then I guess Gakpo can fill in down the middle as a 9 but the talk of Torres is exciting. We were really short last season and now we're even shorter with Mo gone and Ekitike out. Isak, Barcola, Mo replacement, Gakpo, Torres, Rio and Munoz is where we used to be. We have loads of games and few breaks coming up. When Ekitike returns and IF he's ok I could see us letting Gakpo move on next season if we need to move some one. Isak Barcola Mo replacement Ekitike Torres Rio and Munoz would be the season after. They bought Gordon. Why would they need him as well. Thing is if you were Barcola and wanted game time which is why he wants to leave then I can't think of a bigger club than Liverpool where you'd be pretty much guaranteed a starting place.

  14. Awww man : ( What a player and from all accounts a lovely guy. Loved how his Newcastle team played. He was every fan of every team when he said "And I'll tell you, honestly, I will love it if we beat them. Love it."
  15. Hoping we're having one of these days soon. Like really soon. Just wake up to something like this... https://www.thisisanfield.com/2016/06/liverpools-debuts-game/
  16. He’d be in a worse state if they won actually. Some of the scenes from the last World Cup had them on a tour of Argentina properly celebrating for days on end. Like stumbling back from Glasto and arriving into work for an 8:30 management meeting.
  17. Agreed. That’s what I mean. Can’t be easy on certain teams either. I’ve no problem with any of the football I actually saw and weirdly I enjoyed the final more and more as it went on tonight. It’s just sullied by all the other stuff really .
  18. He really did. They mentioned he’s just signed a long term contract which is a shame.
  19. Disappointed no one head butted Trump. I’ve spent the whole night waiting for that moment. Well done Spain. Awful World Cup.
  20. Rooney is obviously skullin pints off camera. He’s getting more loose lipped as we go on.
  21. Some Long Island ice teas. Numb from the neck down.
  22. He might have one of them stadium buddies strapped to his leg.
  23. Early drinking in that heat is a young man’s game. He’s gotta keep going until he passes out now.
  24. I’m loving the last 10.
  25. That’s a goal. It’s clear who they want as winners.
