I think so too. So it's probably totally wrong. But City, ManU, Arsenal, Us, Chelsea and Spurs for 4 spots is interesting. I don't mind missing it for a season but it's just the slide that can happen when it does...

Next season could be back to 4 places right? Or do we know if its stays at 5. Going to 4 with teams like Chelsea under Alonso could get tricky. Maybe a new manager will boost everyone significantly but he needs runners to do that 3 games a week.

I really hope we've got a plan cooking behind the scenes. We've needed a Diaz replacement for over a year now and a management change doesn't alter that too much unless Iraola doesn't want wide players which would be weird. The amount of work we've left ourselves to do in a world cup window is insane. It's why I was so surprised we didn't do business in Jan. We've got to give Iraola a fighting chance with a decent squad.

I realise I’m into football for the needle as much as anything else. Great result.
