Whilst it wasn;t great under parry and moores at least those two appeared to give a s*** about the club - in so much that they had a monogonous relationship with LFC to the exclusion of all else. Since G&H came on board we've been owed and run by people who don't know Liverpool, the city, the culture or the club. Baseball? Ice Hockey? Other football clubs Yank owners? Asset strippers? During the G&H time the only one who seemed to be holding his head was Rafa (from a lfc fan perspective) and even as he improved on the field he was being stabbed in the back off it. From building up what is probably our best first 11 in a generation he was forced to sell them off to balance the books as the owners paid themselves consultancy fees for doing nothing apart from laugh at us. G&H's final parting f U for LFC was the firing of Rafa and appointing of the hodge. Had Rafa been able to build upon the team he put together we might have actually won more rather than been diluted also rans. I am sure that LFC are better run under FSG than G&H.. but it still bugs me that Rafa wasn't given the chance to bring the LFC project he had in mind to fruition. I'm not sure he ever will or could but a piece of me still dreams that G&H turned out to be decent owners and we could have carried on the trajectory we had back then... At the time he left I think Rafa was pretty much the most senior person at the club who understood what LFC means - and you just dont turn your back on people like that... I hate seeing the dogs abuse he is getting at Chelsea because he's an honourable person who doesn't deserve it. I hope the fans give him a huge shout out when he comes to Anfield. I think he's earnt it... Followed by a bigger one for BR and a 8-0 tonking....
