are you speaking for all 170,000 employees of RBS? or just the very few that might deal with this transaction. I know a couple of senior guys in the US at a RBS company but wouldn;t dare to speak on their behalf..

I’m still trying to work out how that size loss to RBS (given the amount they have on their books) directly affects any financial agreements between RBS and the Owners of LFC. Probably because it doesn’t and the 2 are entirely unrelated. Theres been worse threads started… not by much though. It’s the financial equivalent of the off season rumours

I agree that political consideration should be taken out of the process. Theres no reason a special committee / panel couldn;t be appointed for cases such as these - it lets Straw off the hook to. Certainly the best result right now - and in the spirit of the season - would be to let Michael out on licence within 7 days. I doubt he'll be doing much else apart from going home. Fingers crossed.

In this case the Bulgarian authorities and courts have said that they cannot/will not make a decision as Shields is no longer under their jurisdiction. As far as they are concerned they have no longer involvement. So someone, somewhere has to make that decision/ review and it surely has to fall to Straw in cases like this.

Excellent stuff. Now its down to Straw. Everyone else has washed their hands of the responsibility of making the decision to this point. Lets see what he does now. Lets hope he doesn’t use this as an excuse tograndstand.

So the best fans go to the match. And are also the ones that are booing and need a charter to tell them how to behave. Seems like a bit of a dilemma to me…
