  1. Really I think he can be naive tactically given our inability to defend (even when we finished 2nd).... The positive results from .moving to 3 at the back was more about a change in attitude and giving the lads a kick up the backside then the formation itself. He leaves the back 4 exposed and encouraged us to overplay the ball at the back that got us into trouble. But yeah We did play exciting football at times though especially when Suarez, Sturridge and sterling were at full tilt.
  2. He is a legitimate potential candidate and worthy of mention though along with klopp, DeBoer etc
  3. I haven't - is that who he is referring to Though? Those fans giving him abuse on Twitter wouldn't count as 'genuine support' or even support would they? Thought he was referring more to maybe support at games.....
  4. Not exactly a resounding thank you to the fans there! Cheeky c*** given how poor he has been for the last 2 seasons.....strolling around picking up a 100k a week.
  5. What does this actuslly mean? It sounds like nonsense!
  6. Well done on this Flight.
  7. Strange one.....I'm a big Rafa fan but how will his style of play and coaching philosophy fit in with Madrid fans and the egos of thrir players......
  8. What's this about BR and Sturridge faking it? From what I recall he didn't manage the Mignolet dropping to cleverly either.
  9. Cheers
  10. Oh tell us where do you see that BG?
  11. I meant "It doesn't....." I feel the article sums it up well and investment is important channeled in the right way. You are using the example of city saying would it be correct if we went off and spent money in a moronic way.......which is exactly what we have done!!! We have to show ambition (by all means in a sensible way) but we gotta spend the money and show intent or else or else fairly soon the likes of Couthinho, Hendo, Ibe will be out of here too.... and As an aside Juve agreed a deal with Pogba for around 60-70k a week when he was 18 and he had hardly played a first team game. - the mancs fooked up big times there.....
  12. Yep overall I agree with most of this. It's a convenient example to use city. Why not use Atleti instead or Juve? And look at the money we have spent on Carroll, Lovern, Llalana etc. Anyway it does take 20 f**king years to turn around a football club. It takes owners who know what they are doing and wan to run a successful club.
  13. By that logic why didn't we cruise through our champions league group and Europa league tie? 6 games in total excluding real - dire stuff. And Why bother having a manager? - we could save ourself 4/5 million a year. Despite the money city, United and arsenal have they been pretty average all season. We have been poorer than them.
  14. How does FFP allow this?
  15. So I must have missed United, Chelsea, City and arsenal challenging for the Champion League consistently over the last 5 years. My point is finishing top 5 in the pl doesn't necessarily equate to being a very good team. I never said that regarding the dip in form.... Regarding scouting systems(in my original post) I'm referring to atleti, Dortmund and juve Good to see you and Bren are on the same page to where we should be as a club...at the moment
  16. Well agree with some but how often are the likes of Chelsea, City, Arsenal and the Mancs all on form at the same time? Never. If we put together a decent consistent run we are top 4 no problem. In terms of attracting players I think it is simply their scouting systems are better than ours and when the player is identified they seem to execute better. I posted my original post in the FSG thread because they are the ultimate owners of the club and bear the responsibility. There is no reason we Liverpool Football Club can't be competing at the highest level - Top 4 in PL / knockout in CL - almost every year. We need owners who have vision and can actually execute (I know biz speak w@nk but anywhoo) on the business side, football operations side and the playing side.
  17. So last 3 European finals (including this one) will have featured atleti, juve and Borussia. 3 clubs that don't outmuscle us financially and we could compete with. It's just that they are far better ran than our club. This fooking really p!sses me off!!!
  18. Did we really pay that much for Aspas? My good mood is disappearing.....
  19. Yeah this is probably it

    The squad.

    One step at a time!

    The squad.

Lovers should stay in my opinion - there is potentially a decent centre half in there.....somewhere. Plus we'd lose heavily on the transfer fee......a calculated gamble to keep. Similar to Lallana Who has been very average overall.
  22. For the first? Great finish
  23. This makes no sense. It just seems like a convenient excuse for Bren / TC - nothing to do with availability of Sturridge. We can still judge our signings on how they performed in their first season. And "you could argue that Balotrlli has been poor?" For fooks sake he has been shocking. I can forgive poor technique, missing chances etc but I can't forgive lack of effort in doing your job.......unless your job is to stand around and gesticulate - then he has been outstanding.
