We're definitely in that territory. Worse than houllier and Evans. -
His head is simply not where it is supposed to be. I don't know if it's the negative spiral or accumulated stress of it all but he's not the same coach he was last year. At all. He's not seeing what he needs to see, not making the kind of decisions that demonstrate more than survival mode mentality.

Besides him being pointless when we already have szoboszlai and Wirtz, I've gone off him after seeing his ball progression stats. He's a highlights player.

Why is he so bad? I long to see him benched. He has no business getting anything more than charity minutes at the moment. He was the best midfielder in the league last season ffs.

I think it's alright. Mac Allister sticks out but everyone else there should be able to do a job at the moment v Gritty 1-0 win from Ekitike solo effort. -
Keita was more timid than Smicer. But even then, I think he would have been successful here if not for the injuries.

I think, like Sammya says, he has a bit more of that ability to play the game on his own terms, regardless of what his team mates are doing, than Torres did.

We also need to look like there's a proper plan for how to consistently win games out on the pitch. If this were only a confidenfe issue there'd be a lot less chatter.

Just the five central midfielders to support the lone striker then. We really do go to great lengths to not start Chiesa. Mac Allister has no business starting a game like this. Good to see Curtis starting again though. Will be interesting to see what Wirtz can do. -
I saw the potential in him and think with a few different sliding doors circumstances he could have been a proper player for us. Same for Smicer. And Biscan. And Sakho. And Origi. And Ziege. And Cheyrou. Even Carroll. I have s*** taste in players.

I've been trying to think what kind of player he is (when he is not s*** I mean) and the nearest I can come to is a tall lanky Robbie Fowler.

In all fairness it would be f***ing weird if he didn't. They are a shambles and have been so for the better part of a decade.
