Like everyone else I have thought about this a lot. I think what it comes down to is do we trust Rafa's judgement? What impresses me is the way Rafa is so single minded about this - some people say its stubbornness but I think Rafa is too clever, too determined and too ambitious to jeopardise everything he is working for by stubbornness and vanity. If Rafa gets this right it could deliver big time for the club and so I think he should just be allowed to get on with it.

How about this (Killers - somebody told me) Somebody told me, Torres was signing Rafa Benitez , he did the business He came from Atletico They call him el nino He'll be our supremo Fer-nan-do To-rr-es, Fer- nan-o To-rr-es
More mind games perhaps? Real wanted Rafa and not Jose even though Jose might be free at the end of the season? http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldown/N...070418-0928.htm
Momo is a ball winner. He often wins the ball from the opposition when surrounded by opposition players and consequently has limited options in terms of passing which I think goes some way to explaining his tendency to give the ball away. The obvious person for him to pass to is Alonso but he plays quite deep at times. Momo can improve as he gains more experience but more support from other midfielders would help.
I don't think its cruel to the kids unless the academy leaves them unprepared for a future outside LFC or football. Credit to Heighway I think the academy has always tried to ensure that does not happen at least from what little I know about it.
Reasons to hate Arsenal 1. Their players wear gloves 2. Wengers attitude "we play the best football so if we lose there must be a conspiracy against us" 3. That horrible electronic advertsising hoarding thingy er....
Why would anyone pay millions for the naming rights? Presumably because matches from Anfield are televised globally creating brand awareness. But hang on one of the things the new owners will want to do is promote the Liverpool brand more actively on a global basis. The name is Anfield is inextricably linked with Liverpool as brand. Therefore the club should forego the lost revenue from naming rights in order to acheive its objective of promoting the brand globally and should call the new stadium....Anfield.
