  16. Anyone have an understanding of what sort of statistics we're actually talking about? Like apart from the obvious tackles made/goals scored data that optajoe tweets about, are we also talking about comparative assessments like what prozone offer? And if we're talking about recruiting players that are relatively unknown what stats are going to be available apart from matches played, age and maybe goals scored.
  17. Kelly played very well but I thought Meireles offered him a lot of protection, keeping cole at bay and that - even for a right back not sure how johnson would cope with constant tracking back, probably tie himself in knots

  19. Liverpool co-owner Tom Werner wants to revive the idea of playing a competitive Premier League game abroad. The so-called '39th game' was first proposed in February 2008 but stalled after meeting opposition from clubs, fans and world governing body Fifa. But Werner, who will succeed Martin Broughton as the club's chairman, is a fan of the concept. "Pre-season matches are great but why not have an actual match in season," Werner told BBC Sport. Playing a competitive match abroad could help clubs cash in on television markets in overseas territories where the Premier League is popular, like Asia and the United States. "I think first of all the Premier League is the strongest league in the world and its reach is global. "It's been very impressive to me, the number of people globally who watch and we hope to expand that imprint. "I think the more important the game the more excitement." British Airways chairman Broughton was appointed in April to oversee the sale of the club, a process which concluded in October when Werner and John Henry's New England Sports Ventures bought Liverpool for £300m. http://news.bbc.co.u...ool/9163015.stm
  20. Narrow loss for us I reckon. Chelsea's form in tougher away fixtures is worse than most people think, drawn at villa and lost at city. We'll be well of for it so I don't think a draw is completely out of the question, but thats about as far as my optimism goes.

  23. s**** source and that but Turan's agent is quoted as saying he's going nowhere.. Bulut told Sport.co.uk in an exclusive interview: “No, he will not be leaving Galatasaray, he will be staying. He is committed to the club. “He has three years remaining on his contract and it is impossible for him to leave. He is the captain of the team and very happy at the club. There is no doubt he will be staying.” http://www.sport.co.uk/news/Football/46134/Agent_Arda_Turan_not_interested_in_Premier_League_move.aspx
