  1. Thiago's a good lad
  2. I'd take Forsberg. Even though he looks like Robbie Savage.
  3. Come on Ukraine. Always liked Shevchenko. Or maybe just liked him since 2005.
  4. Sterling's general play remains underwhelming.
  5. Boom, here comes Hendo.
  6. He should, England can't play it out from the back to save their lives. Painful to watch Stones fannying around while Rice tries to keep out of sight.
  7. The more direct attacking threat from midfield referred to in that article I think is definitely something we need.
  8. Ancelotti on the move again, there's a surprise.
  9. It's hard to know what to want next at this point. FSG out? Who buys that won't be potentially worse? Ownership rules should have been tackled long time ago, but can't see it happening now.
  10. Interesting and worrying. Thought FFP was supposed to stop clubs from over-stretching themselves that much. I'm sure I'm being naive.
  11. The fact that this collapsed so easily will probably take the steam out of calls for wider reform of ownership rules etc. Back to v dubious status quo, Boris et al will move on.
  12. Ironic given those are the two clubs with the shortest history of being at the top table.
  13. Both Spurs and Arsenal allude to not wanting to be left behind in their statements. Clearly some massive ar*e covering will be happening, but wonder how many across all 12 clubs were really driving this, and how many just got swept up by fear of missing out on dosh.
  14. What an absolute shocker this has been. A laughing stock round the world, and our club front and centre of it. Contemptible fools.
  15. I must say FSG have gone up massively in my estimation. They come up with a half-baked breakaway plan that has no chance of working, but instead leads to calls for owners like FSG to be driven out of the game. Tactical genius.
  16. I mean if you must mess around with something that's fine, just infuse the vinegar with gin or whatever and stick a new label on it. So long as the gherkins still taste basically the same. And can get promoted.
  17. Garner's, the pickle company, have released a new product, gin-pickled gherkins. They essentially taste the same as their normal pickled gherkins. This is what innovation should look like.
  18. This is a god awful plan, but the logical outcome of the mentality behind the PL, and ownership rules that facilitate Abramovich, Gillet/Hicks etc. In that respect, people saying they have no sympathy for PL/Uefa are missing the point. This is more of the haves strengthening their position, but it's also a big step change. I have no interest in a self-selected group of rich clubs playing out their brand of global fantasy soccer in a closed shop. But I'm sure plenty around the world will.
  19. Makes Chappers, Robbie Savage and Paul Merson live from Home Park with a bag of balls seem like a good watch.
  20. Good luck to him, glad he's in a better place and getting on top of it.
  21. That's going to leave Chelsea a bit short in midfield...
  22. Breaking news ain't what it used to be.
  23. Need Kabak-up for Matip.
