arsenal must be a horribly frustrating club to play for as you get older. its great sure as a nipper as you get chances, but wengers refusal to invest in more senior players alongside the strict wage structure they have in place and it becomes all to obvious why players that reach a certain level move on.

seems to be starting for them at the minute, though i think this is down to injury or suspension. he's featured every game though so he should get an appearance either way.

or maybe its better hes got interests outside of his profession that help with his overall work / life balance and doesn't burn out ... you know, like any other sane person

conjecture. you have no knowledge of how much cash changed hands, how much rafa was told he hand to spend or which players rafa wished to bring in. its all good and well being angry that additional players weren't brought in but you arent helping anyone stating theories as facts. what if the down payment for keane was 8m and the additional 12m was wiped returning him? what if real and stumped up an annitional 20m of the 30-odd agreed for alonso? we are all aware that the figures that are talked about during transfers do not relate to the actual amount of cash that changes hands on agreement and none of us have seen any of the contracts signed so this is all hyperthetical speculation.

totally think the dude should get a brief ban for the studs in mateys face, but jesus christ van persie is far from the innocent party in this. he went in with a tackle that could have been a red card on its own against an ex team mate who them retaliated. then you've got a few thousand gob s****s largely yelling abuse at the guy for 2 hours and he eventually reacts. if you're going to punish adebayour imo you need to dish some out to van persie for wreckless behaviour and arsenal as a whole for being unable to control their fans.

sorry but this is just daft, we have cover for torres in kuyt, babel, ngog and voronin. lesser cover sure, but thats because unless you can compete for a first place spot in a different position on the pitch you wont get regular football, and that in a world cup year is an extremely significant factor for the level of footballer you lot demand. i'd also say that there is no evidence that the club held back money - rafa was able to spend 20m in the last two weeks of the window on a player that is a significant risk. regardless of the conjecture if he was held back i could frankly understand and agree with two expensive players already joining the club during the window there is the risk of a significant loss if either or potentially both went the same way as keane.

aye the stamps pretty much nailed on and went unpunished at the time so thats up to a three game ban nailed on. as far as the crowd stuff goes i cant see it going anywhere as the f.a. will hide behind the same on mantra they always do in that it was dealt with by the referee at the time. arsenal fans have behaved pretty sickeningly towards some of their players over the past couple of years so frankly i can understand where he's coming from.

i'd rather spend another couple of minutes at a game and see say stevie get a yellow card for simulation than later see him missing two important champions league ties. the incident with eduardo the other week would have taken 30 seconds, even less with a greater number of cameras.

injuries see significant amounts of additional time being added on to games. adding a few cameras that could be reviewed in seconds by an official would add a little more time but it gives the referees a far better chance of getting the big decisions correct. i disagree it should be the fourth official though, i think the two managers are too close to them and could influence a decision.

quick question whats our relationship with britannia? i know theres been talk of new sponsorship deals, and yes this is totally weak, but i just noticed this on the offal: see the top right. this just some promotion they're running at the minute or is there something more funky happening? not trying to insinuate anything or start rumours, purely asking the question.
