Slightly off topic, but that half against Norwich last season was possibly the finest display of consisent passing I have seen in one half of football. Exquisite.

oh yes.. i was there.. sublime.. even Nigel Worthington said something along the lines that he'd have paid to watch that.. remember him against Spurs too (last season).. similar story - sublime again..

re Gerrard: i think Gerrard's best game could possibly have been against Boro away - he did everything bar score that day.. he was phenomenal.. thoughts?

about 40 minutes into that first half alonso hit a 40 yard pass that went out for a throw in. Somone just behind me in 208 sarcastically shouted "f***in hell Alonso that was s***. Get off the pitch." funniest thing I'd heard on the kop in ages.

oh best performance this season was Alsonso v the blues.

wasn't that the game southgate said afterwards they felt like Gerrard was heading in his own crosses?

phenomenal display that was.

Xabis performance against Spurs was the best display of passing I've ever seen, also considering he had been out for 3 months prior to it.

this season?

Agree with that, haven't a clue how it stayed 0-0

yeah mate that's the one.. first game it was, away from home, he'd done his (second) u-turn and had now committed himself to a new deal here and then he went out there and did everything bar score.. brilliant he was.. and it was then i knew that, no matter how much i thought i may be able to, i couldn't be angry with him for what had happened with Chelsea.. he was still, and always will be, our Stevie G..

i know! i reckon he could seriously have scored about 4, maybe 5, that day.. fkin boss..
