Kvarme Ate My Food Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 do we expect him to still be with us next season? we'll have Kewell and Gonzalez for the left, and we have 4 excellent central midfielders besides Bolo
Andyjandy Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 What type of deal did he sign? Was it a 1-year deal?
Jezzman Posted March 28, 2006 Author Posted March 28, 2006 do we expect him to still be with us next season? we'll have Kewell and Gonzalez for the left, and we have 4 excellent central midfielders besides Bolo He can play on the right as well can't he? Not exactly crowded in that side of midfield...
Flasher Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 I forgot all about him I was just about to say the same thing!!! That's terrible.... It'll be like a new signing when he comes back
G Richards Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 I thought he was starting to play well before he was injured. I hope he's here next season. Can't see him in the first team mind, but he will be good cover and he should get some games.
Ombudsam Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 I thought he was starting to play well before he was injured. he was. They'll be space for him in the squad no doubt. i still think he'll be a decent option in CM
Guest neil34 Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 I'm pretty sure it was 3 years he signed for. And Rafa did say he would be used on the right if we couldn't get the players he wanted. It was on the official website and in the magazine months back.
Guest Garstonite Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Zenden's contract expires in 2008, I believe. As for fitness, don't expect to see him around until pre-season.
Paul Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 I've never seen much in the bloke to be honest and yet he's played for Barca, Chelsea and ourselves and been capped by his country. Hope he's recovery is going well, gives us options I suppose.

Coyler Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Zenden's comeback hopes fade Mar 29 2006 By Chris Bascombe, Liverpool Echo Ohhhh bugger. Mockerstastic thread, nice one everybody...
Benitez Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 he was playing pretty well before he got injured. But lets just say, that some of us can't admit to that, as it isn't seen as towing the party clique
psl Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Hoped he'd be back to score the winner against Boro in the FA Cup Final.
The Hitman Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 (edited) he was playing pretty well before he got injured. But lets just say, that some of us can't admit to that, as it isn't seen as towing the party clique Hey,I said it!!In those exact words too. Edited March 29, 2006 by Pretty Boy
Will Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 He wasn't exactly shining before he got crocked, Will. Seemed to take a while to 'get up to speed', which is odd for a player who's been in the Prem for the past five years Do you think he was playing well or not in his last few games before getting injured - I cannot tell from what you have written... Not that that is relevant to the point I was making. If you think that Rafa is going to get rid of him after just one season in which he has been injured for the vast majority, then I think we would have lost our marbles (yes, Nunez, I know....)
Bootle Buck Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 (edited) He's out for the season according to the Echo article posted on the Offal. Zenden out for season Edited March 30, 2006 by Bootle Buck
