Andy @ Allerton Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 Wonder what kind of reception these despicables will get come Wednesday? Was a bit annoyed when a radio station this morning went on about the 'ambulance incident' and the 'disgraceful chanting from the Liverpool fans' and yet not once mentioned what was eminating from the away end. I can't see them getting into and out of Anfield without at least a bit of a kerfuffle.
DanielS Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 What make you think there will be any Liverpool fans at the England game?
Andy @ Allerton Posted February 27, 2006 Author Posted February 27, 2006 When I stewarded the last one - there were loads.
DanielS Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 When I stewarded the last one - there were loads. That really surprises me. I didn't think Liverpool fans could be arsed with that lot...
Andy @ Allerton Posted February 27, 2006 Author Posted February 27, 2006 I was in the middle of the Kop for the last one - and there were quite a few Scousers in - quite a few with England tops and Liverpool scarves - but the majority of Liverpool fans were Cockney Liverpool fans who support England. Just might not be a great atmosphere if a few sections of the ground are slagging off the Mancs - might be an interesting one to Steward - the last one was a pain in the a***.
Cobs Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 but the majority of Liverpool fans were Cockney Liverpool fans who support England. how do you know that - did you do a poll ?

Will England fans slagging off mancs instead of calling a Liverpool player "freak" really do that much harm to the atmosphere?
Cobs Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 Will England fans slagging off mancs instead of calling a Liverpool player "freak" really do that much harm to the atmosphere? at least there might be an atmosphere at Anfield on Wednesday
Andy @ Allerton Posted February 27, 2006 Author Posted February 27, 2006 how do you know that - did you do a poll ? But the majority of Liverpool fans (That I talked to personally) were Cockneys Are we happy now - you Cockney person? Will England fans slagging off mancs instead of calling a Liverpool player "freak" really do that much harm to the atmosphere? Hope not - I'm hoping for a nice quiet night - feel a bit duff at present - missed the game yesterday with some cold/flu bug thingy - spent Saturday and Sunday mainly in bed. I'll have to entertain myself by chucking a few out

NWR Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 at least there might be an atmosphere at Anfield on Wednesday Yes, the City fans were very noisy yesterday. When you consider most Liverpool fans claim not to support or follow England, it makes you wonder why they hold the venue there doesnt it? Anyway, being an England fan, I hope all the players get a good reception.
anny road Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 atmosphere = NO SURRENDER TO THE IRA OH I'D RATHER BE A PAKI THAN A TURK You can stick your Ingerlund up your a*** I cant abide the thought of some racist bigot sat in my seat on Weds Yes, the City fans were very noisy yesterday. I went to the greece game at old trafford, I hated it, but we walked past about 4 pubs and No surrender was bellowing out onto the streets, even for 60,000 not a minority

My nephew is taken all the time now and his Dad would NOT be taking him if it was half as bad as you say it was.

Andy @ Allerton Posted February 27, 2006 Author Posted February 27, 2006 Last England game I went to (bar Anfield) was England v Czech Republic - very much a majority of Combat 18, NF and the like belting out their racist crap - not to mention their seeming anti-Northern hostility
Cobs Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 Mostly Cockneys but some Brummies and others with 'Farmer' accents. Someone called me a 'fat scouse b*****d', didn't have a clue who it was or they would have been refused admittance. But I had a fairly good idea, so when he got to the front I made sure that his ticket was fully checked and he got a complete search, and I took my time is it me or does that post come across as a bit gay?
Andy @ Allerton Posted February 27, 2006 Author Posted February 27, 2006 Specially if Kev had that smiley faced look when he was doing it
Guest Jack Bauer Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Erm, loads of Liverpool fans support England. Just because a lot on here don't , doesn't mean the majority don't.
