Tyler Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Chelsea pitch (as was United's) was a disgrace. Don't think Barcelona are going to fancy their passing game on that.
Andy @ Allerton Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 They and the Mancs should be fined for their pitches Bloody disgrace in this day and age.
R A Softlad Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Stamford Beach. I'm willing to bet they are leaving like that because they had to play us and Barca are coming soon.
Tyler Posted February 6, 2006 Author Posted February 6, 2006 at one stage the ball (in the middle of the pitch so didn't lead to anything) actually spun straight up in the air as it must have hit a divot commentators commented that for kewell shot (the one that spun wide) the ball was all over the place as it came to him i wonder have they left it like that with barcelona game in mind while we are on it - why is the club policy at liverpool not to have ball boys - other clubs use them to slow/speed up games like it or not i think we have to start being more "professional" in games - crowd around referees, play a stop start game when we are winning etc etc
Guest Red Mist Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Jose Mourinho said that the pitch will remain like it is because - get this - if it was sorted out it will result in injuries! He blmaed Scot Parkers injury on the pitch being relaid and smooth so now he says the pitch will continue to look like a stretch of s***.It's a lame excuse and is done purely for their own advantage. Barac should not play on the pitch and protest to UEFA.
Stevie H Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 at one stage the ball (in the middle of the pitch so didn't lead to anything) actually spun straight up in the air as it must have hit a divot that was absolutely ridiculous. beach football.
sean Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Not as though they don't have the mpney to fix it. Sure, why would they?
Bootle Buck Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 You have to think both Utd and Chavski have let their pitches go for a distinct home advantage. It is a joke that the two so-called richest teams in England are playing on pitches you would see pub teams playing on.

stressederic Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 It was when Sissoko was running with the ball at his feet in the first half. Must have gone maybe 15-20 yards or so, and the ball was just bouncing around all over the place. Ok Momo's control at times is a little wayward, but its not that bad.
Atticus Finch Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 I'm willing to bet they are leaving like that because they had to play us and Barca are coming soon. I thought exactly the same thing yesterday. I hadn't noticed it being that bad before (not that I pay much attention to their games) and wondered if they had sabotaged it
madaboutlfc Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Stamford Beach. I'm willing to bet they are leaving like that because they had to play us and Barca are coming soon.according to Chelsea fan I know its due to Mourinhos belief that newly relaid pitches causes injury.. How gullible are these prats if they believe that? I fear Chelsea will knock Barca out again which would be a tragedy.
Guz Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 That incident where Finnan was letting the ball run out for a throw in but it spun back was madness. And then near the end Alonso running at their defence and the ball was bobbling up all over the place - and that with one of the best technical players in the country.
aka Dus Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 They have a pitch like an unwiped ar5e. Somehow, it fits right in with the whole 'project'.
Tosh Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 soon to have Freddy Adu playing on it if the Times is to be believed
matty Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 It really says something about Chelsea that they think they have to play on a midden like that to get one over on decent sides. For all that t***'s talk, they're just another above-themselves bunch of mockney chancers. Small-time a******s. Hopefully Barca will do them 5-0 at the Nou Camp and it won't matter.
