England squad for next summer

For me I think it will be:

 

G -- Robinson, James, Green

LB -- A. Cole

CB -- Ferdinand, Terry, Carragher, Campbell, King

RB -- Neville, Young

LM -- J. Cole, Hargreaves

CM -- Gerrard, Lampard, Jenas, Carrick

RM -- Beckham, Wright-Phillips

F -- Owen, Rooney, Crouch, Defoe

 

I think LB is an issue obviously. It's so shallow there. But, I think he'll end up playing Carra in there somewhere, either at RB or LB. You just have to have him in the line-up.

 

Anyone have any opinions of their own?

other close ones maybe nolan,barton,dyer,young,bent,downing.

pennant's a decent outside bet, particularly with SWP not playing at chelsea.

Fair point. Defoe was clearly better earlier in the season, but not now. That one will be close.

I have absolutely no idea.

 

Reyna, Keller, Donovan, McBride, Lewis, Wolff, Bocanegra, Beasley. Then I'm stuck.

 

And Dude, they have a serious chance of doing well. Remember last World Cup. The Czechs are vulnerable.

Italy and the czech (now with nedved back) should be too strong, i don't think the US team is as good as its ranking suggest, they are probably the same level as iran and japan

Being a blue you'll think I'm saying it for the sake of it but I think Phil Neville might make it.

 

He can play right back, left back and midfield, he'd be a useful addition to the squad.

Carragher isn't as good a midfielder as Neville left or right back for that matter. He's an exceptional centre half, wonderful but Neville's versitility would be useful for England.

James shouldn't be in it - but he will be.

Carragher is a better right back, left back or midfield player than either of the Nevilles.

I'm pretty certain I'm not.

 

I'm saying Carragher will get into the squad because he's a exceptional centre half, one of the best in the country.

 

I'm saying Phil Neville might get into the squad because he's more versitile and Gary Neville is a much better right back.
