Harry is looking good now - apart from that hair do :hmm: But it brings him good form! so he best keep it :D

Had a decent game I think, not phased at all, and battled hard. It's great to see him play like this. He's getting back to the Harry Kewell we know he can be!

His linking up is getting better and better. Agree he was not involved a lot in the first half but in the 2nd he was excellant. His confidence is getting higher and higher and he looks as though he is getting into the team style more with each game.

A goal would be excellant and surely one is not far away. Expect him to be on the bench for the next game and back to terrorise Bolton.

He may not be as exciting as in his Leeds heyday but he seems a much more consistent force these days and a better team player giving us good balance on the left.

Great footballing brain too - more often than not, he choses the right option when on the ball (c.f. Garcia).

I had big doubts about he'd ever come back after all this time out but I'm delighted it looks like he is going to prove me wrong.

said in another thread that his best attribute is his decision making on the pitch, when and whom to pass to, or in other words football intelligence, is just top notch. It is no coincidence that our final third in getting more incisive by the match.

he seems to have changed his game somewhat. Much wiser on the ball than I recall seeing him before, even his mythical leeds days. He's growing into a phenomenal linkup player. Be interesting to see whether he'll be used centrally a la Aimar when Gonzales arrives.

It's no coincidence that our football standard has raised since Kewell returned to the side. He provides width, intelligent passing and movement, and can beat a player and put in a good cross. Also, if you watch some matches back around November/December last year when Harry was getting slaughtered by fans, you'll find that he was still playing good possession football. But because his movement seemed so restricted, he came across as lazy and therefore whatever positive contribution made to the team was unnoticed.

In Kewell, Luis Garcia, Morientes, Alonso, Crouch and Gerrard, we have a "front six" who are what people call "footballers"; each on their own have unique sets of skills. Put together, they have everything you need on a football pitch. The guile of Kewell, movement and ball control of LG, heading ability of Morientes, hold up play of Crouch, passing of Alonso, and the aggression and pace of Gerrard. Perhaps most importantly, all of them can score goals. Maybe the only thing I can think of missing is a good free kick (cross).

He's a better more mature version than the 20 year old Leeds player. He tracks back, he doesn't waste passes, including those back to his defenders. He is a very sensible player on the ball and doesn't need to play as an out and out winger. A little more pace and a few goals and everyone will be raving about Harry again.

Aye, we really do need someone who can convert more free kicks and corners into goals.

Thought Harry was our best player out there today.

Especially in the first half where he was class. Good goal attempts, not afraid of challenging the fullback with pace and trickery, and put in a lot of effort.

He'll get the goal soon.

Definately, 3 assists in his last 3 League games now aswell. Good going Harry lad and I think he was subbed as Rafa really wants him to play at Bolton

Harry was excellent again today. I don't want to say 'he's back' cos thats tempting fate. But he's put a run of very good performances together now, and he's looking really confident, and is working hard.

And it was so good the great reception he got. And has been getting in recent weeks.

Music to his ears I'm sure as well! Harry will feel the luuuuuuuurve :D
