Website building advice

I have a mate who's missus is setting up a business and she wants a website doing... Bit out of touch these days on what is the best website building software to use for people that want something that's user friendly and a more visual creative way of doing it than code based. Its so she can maintain it as well as her fella..

 

Does anyone recommend a place to start? Ideally can be hooked into a way of paying on the site and checkout and all that..
