The long existing thread seems to be missing. Anyway, BBC reporting that officers from Operation Fairbank are now working with homicide officers following allegations of a homicide linked to their investigation into historic abuse by a ring linked to the government.

Christ.

That Mirror report mentions another report, in the Sunday People I think, in which a list of various people people including pop stars, a royal aide and various ministers and MPs were implicated - were names mentioned or is that still being kept under wraps at the moment?

Horrific all this. Sickening and beyond belief.

Scotland Yard is facing allegations of a “cover-up” after a father of an eight-year-old boy murdered in the 1980s reportedly said that his son may have died at the hands of a Westminster paedophile ring. Vishambar Mehrotra’s son Vishal was abducted as he walked home from Putney on 29 July 1981. He claims he received an anonymous call from a male prostitute in the months following.

The retired magistrate told The Daily Telegraph that he later recorded a male prostitute saying in a telephone call that his son may have been kidnapped and taken to the Elm Guest House.

Mr Mehrotra told The Telegraph he took the recording to the police by they refused to investigate the allegation. “He told me he believed Vishal may have been taken by paedophiles in the Elm Guest House near Barnes Common,” Mr Mehrotra said. “He talked about judges and politicians who were abusing little boys.” He added: “At that time I trusted the police. But when nothing happened I became confused and concerned. Now it clear to me that there has been a huge cover-up. There is no doubt in my mind.”

The allegation is the latest in widespread claims surrounding an establishment cover-up at Elm Guest House, in south-west London, purportedly the venue for the abuse of boys from local care homes in the 1970s and 1980s. However, despite lurid allegations involving high-profile public figures, no charges relating to the guest house have yet been brought.

A friend first mentioned this to me a while back when the BBC and Jimmy Saville news came out...saying there are more high profile people involved. It was one of those conversations you just don't want to have... so it went in one ear then out the other, and never gave it a second thought. Reading that mirror article has just given me the shivers.... my friend said someone in royalty circles was involved, and named the popstar.

I hope they all get exposed. The story surrounding the pop star will be huge.

It's f***ing November

It's reminiscent of something out of Monty Python or some such.

There's about 10 of them all in their dress uniform, singing on a little stage with another one of them playing a Casio organ, all in front of the Lord Mayor and other "dignitaries", while a group of students hurl abuse at them.

Just seen that there are currently senior officers from the Met singing carols outside New Scotland Yard (I kid you not) there are quite a few protesters hurling abuse at them..
