I watched the game and the aftermatch stuff on FOX, Bosnich was slamming the ref for his bias towards Brisbane.

 

the ref was almost HowardWebbesque in his desire to ensure that Brisbane won. Bosnich said that Brisbane had won every game that this guy had reffed for them. The ref would not want to end that streak.

He took out his supporting leg. It's a clear penalty.

 

That he opted to take a swing despite having been put clearly off balance has no bearing on that. If anything, it's a credit to the player that he tried instead of just going down to signal clearly to the ref he has been fouled.

AFL is probably the most exciting sport going around, wouldn't be surprised if it starts going global. It's the sport with everything, for the spectators and the moneymakers. Plus my team's 4-0, so it takes my mind off our league form

Is that such an obvious penalty? The attacker loses balance because the ball takes a nasty bobble just before he's about to shoot and not because of the tackle that came in. I think i'm going blind because I dont see a genuine trip in that video.

Deffo penalty. If you watch the video from 19 seconds onwards, you see the defender kick his left leg.

 

Grahimi Lebroy's video shows it better from the off. Cast iron pen that.

I watched a fair bit of the Fremantle - Carlton AFL game today.

 

Not a bad game, Carlton were well ahead when I had to leave.
