unfortunately the damage will be too much for us to rescue a champion league place, but can see us finishing 6th

With the current squad unaltered, 6th is realistically achievable. With 1 or 2 quality additions settling straight in, and Kenny getting the best out of what we have,I wouldn't rule out 4th, largely due to the mediocrity of our rivals. Spurs and Chelsea are far from convincing, City are still not a team.

 

There would have to be immediate, and stark improvement to consider 4th though.

 

All told, I'm on a high and I've voted 4th.

Win our game in hand and we are 7/8 points off Spurs/Chelsea.

That should be our target. One game at a time, try to erode as many points as we can from that 4th 5th position. We may not quite get there but its a good ambitious target thats not completely impossible.

 

A couple of good signings and a run of results could have us flying. I think the Derby will be extremely dificult to win now that the captain is out, but the 2 league games either side can be 6 points for us.

I think 7th again, although I hope we don't qualify for the EL so we can concentrate fully on the league next season. Too many strong teams above us currently. It's a transitional period and hopefully by the end of it we've moved on in terms of style of football and have established a few more young players in the first team.

Don't know about City ...But Chelsea are on a free fall and Spurs have CL distractions if we add a couple of top class players in Jan then we might be in with a chance.
