[some alky c***] has accused the Football Association of running a "dysfunctional" disciplinary system.

Less than two months after Rio Ferdinand was banned for four games following a video review of him elbowing the Hull City striker Craig Fagan, Manchester United find they must face Steven Gerrard during Sunday's match with Liverpool, even though Gerrard could easily have been banned.

The Liverpool captain's alleged V-sign to referee Andre Marriner in the recent defeat to Wigan Athletic and a nasty-looking challenge on Portsmouth's Michael Brown at Anfield on Monday have both gone without official comment.

The United manager [c***flaps] said today: "I didn't expect anything to happen to Steven Gerrard. It [the disciplinary panel] is a dysfunctional unit. I don't know what they are doing."

"There is no consistency for a start and I didn't expect to get any," continued [c***flaps]. "I am not too bothered about it. They can do what they want down there. It is crazy at times."

[c***flaps] has long believed his side are disadvantaged in their dealings with the FA. The latest events will not have altered that opinion, given that Ferdinand had an extra match added to a three-game suspension for a "frivolous" appeal over the Fagan incident.

At the time, [c***flaps] highlighted what he felt was a similar incident involving another Liverpool player, Javier Mascherano, at Leeds United during a Carling Cup tie which went unpunished.

Boo-hoo-hoo. Imagine he scores a late winner now

He's distraught that Rooney gets away with everything because refs award fouls, but don't even book him for red card offenses.

I heard that he was also desperately upset that Vidic didn't get sent off in the Carling Cup final, as this further highlights inconsistency.

and it's obviously dysfunctional for following its own laws - the ref saw & dealt (as he deemed fit) with Gerrard, but didn't see the Ferdinand incident.

Exactly,..... its quite easy to understand isnt it?

Imagine the screams if a beach-ball had of scored against them or something

And Slur hasn't got away with anything with all his dysfunctional rantings about refs and the FA? Must be his azlheimers making him so hypocritical.

He does this every year when they come up against Liverpool and the last 2 times, he has been made to look a right narcissistic, senile old fool with his ramblings.

What I'd give for his shítty team in their shítty stadium to have another 4-1 tonking from us and I don't think that's an impossibility either providing the thugs don't batter our players.

Got to love threads with this kind of title. Warms the cockles of my heart.

I hope Gerrard gets away with murder and scores the winner from a blatant hanball or a dodgyoffside.

I see with the security of Sundays win behind him, Ferguson has come out and said we weren't the better team last season at their place because the 2nd and 4th goals were defensive mistakes.

I'm not sure the meff even knows what his mouth is saying at times.

Can't find the Utd match thread, so I'll post this here. Thought this was well funny on the BBC's Quotes of the Week:

"I didn't expect him (Gerrard) to be charged, simply because it is a dysfunctional unit at the FA. I don't think they know what they are doing....but I certainly think if he was a Manchester United player he would have been done - as was the case with Rio Ferdinand."

Sir Alex Ferguson sees red after Steven Gerrard escapes punishment for allegedly elbowing Portsmouth's Michael Brown.

"He said this just on Friday? Which Friday? This Friday, or every Friday?"

Rafa Benitez learns of Fergie's mischief-making.

That's quality. You have to love Rafa's dry wit.
