"I am quite optimistic that I will be ready for the match versus Real Madrid and, if the ankle holds out, I will also be at Old Trafford for the Man United game.

"I hope to be available for both of the matches because they will be two great games. The ankle injury has been giving me some trouble and the recovery process is taking longer than I hoped, but I think I will be ready.

"I'm happy in England and I enjoy playing here...and after winning a title with the national team, I would love to win a trophy with Liverpool. This is my biggest wish right now.

"My future is tied with Liverpool, because I still have four years on my contract. Therefore, should Rafa leave, I will stay on and fulfil my contract. My wish is that Rafa extends his contract with Liverpool."

Teases itself back into the support's psyche. It's disgusting.

it is, but i maintain that the media wouldn't be constantly gnawing at us if we were a closed shop. since the americans we've been rising to any media bait in a very undignified way.

they can see what a poisonous cauldron the club is, and they know if they give us a nudge the ripples infect the fans and the board, and usually end up having an effect on the football side of things.

I agree with you about the closed shop thing mate but I also thnk rafa has a lot to answer for on that front. He is not shy about using the press also. Its happening from both sides

Yes, i thought about saying that. althought i wouldn't go as far as rafa having 'a lot to answer for'. He uses the press and the fans quite well, and i'm sure he knows the dangers of both coming back and biting him if results don't go his way.

Think he'd admit that he puts himself on the line, and i'm sure he's not surprised by the witch hunt that's happening at the moment in the media. if he's aware of it he's probably a bit surprised and disappointed at losing the fans so fast though.

I think he's just playing the game that the yanks started. It's not like Rafa is Mr. Personality with the press. I think he just realised about 18 months ago that he'd better play the game or he'd be forced out.

I think he enjoys it.

There seems to be a lot of people who would be happy to see Rafa go though.

How many games this season has Torres played in fully-fit? i.e. not the first game (or two or three) back after injury

He's started 11 in the league, 6 in the Champions League, 2 in the FA Cup & 1 in the Carling Cup, although I don't think he was fully fit in all of those (eg Spurs in the Carling Cup)

He's being rotated like a pooch

It's f***ing sickening that these media pricks are talking about Rafa going as if it's inevitable. It's poisoning our club.

Poisoning our club ?! Shakespeare would have rejected the storyline for what's happened in the last 2 years.
