I don't understand why the press/media aren't asking more questions of the UEFA reps when they come out with stuff like, "We repeat our position that we will not accept any racial abuse of any England players. There can be no place for racist behaviour in football or society."

Damn right. The similar fine they received just a couple months earlier (during the Euros), for the same offence, clearly sent a message to everyone.
