He had the highest ratio of left vs. right moves to date on Sunday. I thought he played well until the 2nd half when he never go the ball.

I was fuming when he came on. He played like a little kid playing with the big boys and to scared to get involved.

I was positive he was coming on for Kuyt, think it was a poor decision. Our hope was to hit them on the break, for that you need pace and trickery for a fast counter.

He's too frustrating to watch. He has the ability and speed to beat a man, but always looks unsure of where he is going and tends to overun the ball. It may just be his style but he seems to lose interest for long periods in the game. Pity Stevie Heighway wasn't still around as he could have helped the lad develop as a winger. There was noone better than Stevie for taking people on out wide.

Babel was invisible for most of the game. Didnt do much at all apart from going past Wes Brown once.

 

Benayoun kept the ball well, nothing much could be done if he had no attacking partners but Torres as Gerrard had dropped quite deep and Kuyt was basically in our own half. Why is he getting slated?

I would like to see Babel tried out on the right myself.

 

Problem is we have no one to play on the left besides Ryan.

Thought Babel was one of our better players in the first half. Granted the competition wasn't stiff.

Babel looks like he's going to be a good player, he has pace, can beat a man and an eye for goal. I think there's a lot more to come from him.

Babel has skill and could develop into a really good player but needs coached well. It kinda f***s me off though that in Nani the Mancs have a winger that would have been great for us, and their bench looks stronger than our first choice attack. Plus they're more than likely going to add Benzema to their squad eventually.
