No atmosphere?

Spoke to a West Ham friend of mine today who was at Anfield last night. Said there was only one team in it, praised Torres and then said that for the second time running when he has been up there, there's been no atmosphere..... Pardon?

Atmosphere was piss.... Thought there was good banter between the Away lot and the corner of the Main, especially when they spotted one Liverpool fan in blue and gave him loads..

Their song about Lampard was funny, but pointless in a game against Liverpool.

 

Our fans were quiet.... obviously I don't sit in the Kop, but like I said in the protest thread, the atmosphere volume is very quiet when you sit anywhere in the ground apart from the Kop... it amazes me when people say that its pretty good. Its embarassingly bad at times. Shame the fans save it for the crucial Euro games.

Heard the Torres song, but much like the Campione song the words seem to lose clarity at points. I guess it needs to have time to get more familiar with people.

He said that apparently Anfield is now known as The Library down south. They would know, wouldn't they?

thought the protest during the Villa game was as loud as I have heard this season.... but for the normal atmos I would agree that the Manc game or maybe Chelsea were pretty good too.

The 1892 section has backfired a bit because its too far back. It really doesn't carry through to the rest of the ground, nice idea but not a great success unless you're in it I wouldn't have thought?
