despite the rollercoaster that is this season, the turmoil, the tears and the laughs along the way, in years to come the history books will only recall the winners, not the near misses.

 

on that basis, and the beauty that is 'possibility', if the season ended like this:

 

Carling Cup - Spurs

League - Arsenal

FA Cup - Mancs

UEFA Cup - Anyone but EFC

Champions League - Liverpool

 

would that justifiably give us a reason to spend from may to august w***ing ourselves with glee??

I see what you are saying gibo, UEFA cup finalists, losing by a dodgy penalty and have 2 goals disallowed for offside when they should have stood will do me!

And if we do win the Champions League i have no problem with Everton winning the UEFA cup

A supercup against everton will be Intersting, especially as if we win the CL it could mean them missing out on the CL themselves (if they finish in 4th place) :)

The only thing that would have me w***ing solidly for four months would be a DVD lesbian extravaganza featuring Scarlett Johansson, Naomi Watts, Natalie Portman and Cate Blanchette

 

If we win trophies, I tend to get pissed rather than horny

Thats quite a disturbing post in parts!

 

I'd rather:

 

Carling Cup - Spurs

League - Arsenal

FA Cup - Portsmouth

UEFA Cup - Anyone but EFC or Spurs

Champions League - Liverpool

4th Place - Everton

 

We win ol' big ears (which would piss on anyone), the Mancs win nothing and neither do Chelski and we can laugh for years at Everton finishing in 4th and NOT getting into the Euro Cup cause of us winning the Champs League hahaha!!

Generally speaking though i don't mind Everton doing well as long as we are doing better

Whilst that would undoubtedly be entertaining, it still gives them something over us and a come back (although I'd love to say 'Well, you knew the rules at the start of the season, so you can't complain...') and would make the possibility of defeat in the final even more scary, a potential double-blow. I'd prefer to finsh 4th by a distane, but a last day stomach bug related overhauling of the bitters, followed by a CL win anyway, would be very sweet.

If we were top of the league by 50 points, I wouldnt want them second, I wouldnt want them second bottom. I would want them last, and so far adrift, I could laugh until my throat goes sore.

but because of the new rule from UEFA, 4th place no longer loses its place due to the winner of the competition being in it... am I not right?

 

ive seen a few talking about keeping everton out of the CL etc.

I think it's good for the rivalry if both teams are doing well however liverpool would have to be doing betgter of course. derby games wouldnt be too special if everton were relegated. But a super cup game against them would go down in history... well as close as a super cup game can go anyway ;p
