Guest Ant Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 In an otherwise s*** night. It was nice to see him stuck upfront, in a good way he hardly ever dropped back, he needs confidence.
Chili Palmer Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I thought his touch was getting better as the first half went on, some nice passes...then he came out for the second half
Guest Snorky Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Sorry son he is a complete waste of space. So many moves come to an end when he receives the ball.
Guest Kaizer Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 It was especially nice to see him take the ball away from goal with a first touch only a Sumo wrestler on speed could be proud of and then hit the ball into row Z when trying to finish. He is abysmal most of the time and average at best, get rid.

Guest JV Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 f*** me we must be desperate giving kuyt praise for that performance. He's a waste of an outfield place.
Guest Kaizer Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Thank God for Crouch hey? It was a great goal from Crouch, just a shame his last one in the league came back in March last year.
The Hitman Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Good in the first half.Bad in the second half. Too often his first touch or lay-off tends to ping up in the air, leaving it up to the onrushing player to try and bring it down. His finishing is woeful now. Him and Kewell are both completely shot.
dodgy1 Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 In an otherwise s*** night. It was nice to see him stuck upfront, in a good way he hardly ever dropped back, he needs confidence. I really hope you are messing !!!!!
psl Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 (edited) It was a great goal from Crouch, just a shame his last one in the league came back in March last year. He very rarely plays in the league, for more than ten minutes anyway! He must have the second best goals to minutes on the pitch ration amongst our strikers (although I'm sure you'll tell me if not). lawrie Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 In an otherwise s*** night. It was nice to see him stuck upfront, in a good way he hardly ever dropped back, he needs confidence. He played well but I have to admit, at the moment, he's looking less and less likely to actually score. I think we play better with both Kuyt and Pennant in the team but neither look like they'll ever score, its a conundrum
Guest RedLegend Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Thought he actually played quite well in the first half. Was rotten in the second half though. Would want shooting for miscontrolling that ball to him.

It was nice to see him stuck upfront, in a good way he hardly ever dropped back, he needs confidence. a bright spot? promising first half..... but was utter s**** second half... had a gift of a ball to take first chance... did his usual first touch crap and whacked it into the roof of the Kop...he's had long enough... this aint a confidence thing.. he's not suited to the team or the league.
Paul_LFC Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Kuyt was garbage. He should have made it 2-0 and put the game away. He just hasn't got it, he needs to be shown the door before anyone else.
RafaShanks Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 He symbolises everything wrong in our team at present. Utter gash.
Will Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 He was hopeless. Is Rafa being stubborn ?Yes, Rafa plays players he thinks are s*** to prove a point
jfogarty Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 In an otherwise s*** night. It was nice to see him stuck upfront, in a good way he hardly ever dropped back, he needs confidence. I agree. He played better than he has been. I'd play him on Saturday too.
Jim D Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 He symbolises everything wrong in our team at present. Utter gash. Yes but deep down you got to feel sorry for him a little, he came over from Holland where he scored goals for fun and now he is a shadow of the player he once was. The lad has lost all confidence in himself, he even struggles to control a football which is the basic requirement of any top level footballer. The best thing for him would be to leave in the summer and get a fresh start somewhere else.
psl Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I agree. He played better than he has been. I'd play him on Saturday too. You just know it will be Crouch and Voronin on Saturday.
Falconhoof Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Yes, Rafa plays players he thinks are s*** to prove a point No need for sarcasm Will. Its obvious Kuyt's struggling and we haven't enough punch upfront. I disagree with Rafa about babel not being ready and I don't agree that Crouch can't play with Torres. There's 2 options there sitting on the bench most weeks who are more effective for us than Kuyt.
Paul_LFC Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 The thing with Kuyt is that he never gets it done. He runs around like a headless chicken but how many tackles does he actually win? He hardly wins any. He has no pace, and his control is so sloppy that there isn't much he can do for us. We really suffer with him in the team.
st.johns Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Yes, Rafa plays players he thinks are s*** to prove a point Thanks for clearing that up.

Dunno what it is that turns them so goal shy when they put on our shirt.
