Can I first say at the match tonight and somebody from YNWA came up and said hello. At the time I would not have known my own name never mind his. I had what I can only describe as a black out for a few seconds and when he came up to me I was just coming back to normal. So I am sorry if I appeared rude or a bit distant and not to know who you were I was just zoned out first time in my life I have ever thought i would have to leave a match earlt. stayed for the second half but perhaps would have been better off in bed. Thanks for asking if I was ok. What is the matter with us why cant we kill a team off, why no urgency ubtill we are getting beat. Is it the problems off the field is it Raffa selection (wich was a bit dodgy tonight). Why do we insist on playing Kuyt up front when we need to win games. Only good thing if it looks like we wont make 4th the yanks might sell quicker

I'm getting really fed up with these insipid performances.... so dis-jointed, haphazard and weak. Then when we are under the cosh we start to pick up. I could go on about players below par and the team not playing for each other, but to be honest it wouldn't help.

I just feel there's an inevitability about the way we play at the moment..... grrrr !!!

Just back from the match in Wayne's spec. Its a boss spec that, thanks again Wayne.

The main thing was the chanting against Hicks, ' lying b******s get out of our club' and 'Liverpool football club is in the wrong hands'. It was taken up by large sections of the kop but i've just seent he BBC report which says there was no mass protest.

Weird game as we were well in control, should have had a second but then a stupid foul and we turn to statues at the back. The defence had been very good up until then.

The main 2 things for me on the pitch are Kuyt starting games and being hopeless. Enough is enough with that now Rafa.

The second is Gerrard who just needs to be out on the right.

To be fair, Kuyt played well for the opening hour including a lovely ball for the first goal

1 good pass, yes well done. I didn't see enough to praise him.

Thats all he`s done all season , the mans sh**e, should never be even on the bench.

Thought Kuyt did ok, but his problem is he doesn't look like scoring at the moment.

Kewell and Aurelio were far worse

The club badly needs a lift at the moment. Can we sign Robbie again?

But the chance he had second half sums up everything that is wrong with him. He's not a goalscorer that lad. Not in a million years

He doesn't look like one this season, that's for sure. But how did he score so many goals in Holland, and a respectable total last season? I don't really understand.

Because he was played upfront and never came back to midfield as often as he does now ?

Mutu was prolific in Holland. It's a bit like being Celtic's top scorer

He's no finisher Will.

Look at Babel's goal against Luton. That's a finisher. Low, hard, hit the corners.

Kuyt thrashes at pretty much everything. Even last season, think about the number of times he was through and hammers the ball upwards. Sometimes it went in, but for a centre forward the number of times he hits the target vs the number of times he puts it over is way too low.

I never saw him in Holland so I don't know what sort of goals he scored there.

thats funny, cos people still think Cisse was a finisher, but thats how he finished, always

Not that many thought of Cisse as a finisher by the end, did they? The consensus was he just t****** everything straight at the keeper wasn't it?

yeah, but people say "to be fair to cisse, he knew where the goal was" no he didnt, he knew where the goal keeper was cos he drilled the f***ing thing right at him and hoped he moved.

It's a way of finishing I suppose. Shearer used to do it. But he could keep the f***ing thing under the bar.

Cisse used to keep it under the bar and hit the goalie.

Shearer could clip the underside of the bar with alarming regularity.

"Djibs, when you see the whites of the goalie's eyes" "yes" "t*** it at him"

they play with a larger set of goalposts in holland. ours our eight feet by twenty-four feet, they use the same numbers but in the metric system.

I blame that c*** Van Nistelrooy. If it wasn't for him, no one would have ever taken remotely seriously anyone's scoring record in Holland.

Playing the same role this season as he did last.

He just has developed 'penalty box' rash this season.

Posted
No he isn't. Torres is doing that role now.

No he's not. Either Bellamy or Crouch led the line last season. Bellamy was quoted as bemoaning being the further forward as he wasn't playing his natural game.

Kuyt always operated between ( :hmm: ) midfield and attack.

If that performance didn't prove that those that are backing Rafa are flogging a dead horse, then I don't know what will!

Wrong team selection, wrong tactics - AGAIN!

If you just want our club to be in the CL and finish above everton, Then He's Your Man Alright!
