In the first half he made a few mistakes defensively.

 

Citeh didn't have many attacks at all so the count isn't high, but he certainly didn't have a perfect game.

but who ever has perfect games? Carragher and Marsh had one or two odd misplaced passes as well.

I will agree he was better in the second half than the first half, but in that 90 mins, I think he showed Riise how the left back position should be played. We kept the ball so much better and it was great seeing Aurelio carrying the ball out of his half without him punting the ball to the corner flag.

I like watching him play. He didn't actually seem that confident today until he had a couple of long shots. Then he perked up and started running that left hand side. Some of runs he made inside and overlapping were excellent.

He's very good on the ball and going forward but defensively I think he can be caught out. Ireland skinned him twice in the first half today but no doubt he that he played well overall.

Thought he did fantastically well. Looked fit, and sharp. He did not lumber around the pitch. He did not try to knock those in the tenth row out with left footed shots.
