Guest Ant Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Where was Lucas? Was Torres taken off injured? Has Rafa learnt that Voronin and Crouch can't play the same team together? Is Crouch a left winger? Why was Gerrard taken off? Where are Rafa's priorities? ___________________________________________________________________________________ If we lose against Marseille our season would be hanging by a thread, and whatever purpose Rafa had for today in terms of having once again the next game in his mind would be pointless. The Yanks are gonna be well chuffed with Rafa.
Sion Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 (edited) another question, why does this post need it's own thread? can it not just fit in with all the other knee-jerk posts in the other two threads? Edited December 8, 2007 by Sion
Guest Ant Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 another question, why does this post need it's own thread? can it not just fit in with all the other knee-jerk posts in the other two threads? What is so 'knee-jerk' about this thread? Also, it can but I set up the thread when the other one opened...

Lucas was on the bench.Torres was injured.Don't know, hope so.No, God no.Because we'd already lost and we have 2 massive games in the next week. His priorty is the league, he just played the wrong players in the wrong formation today.

No we hadn't We of all clubs should know that.
Guest Ant Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 His priorty is the league, he just played the wrong players in the wrong formation today. Which has cost us big time, although it isn't as evident just yet. His team selection had one eye on the game v Marseille, if we lose that, everything that happend today was for nothing.

BG Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 another question, why does this post need it's own thread? can it not just fit in with all the other knee-jerk posts in the other two threads? Most pertinent question on this thread. My answer: ego.
Sion Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 His team selection had one eye on the game v Marseille, No it didn't Who did he rest? Hyypia? Hobbs did little wrong. He started Torres and Gerrard FFS! It was the regular starters who let the team down, along with abysmal reffing.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 For the record Lucas wasnt on the bench, it was Kuyt - according to the text I got from LFC anyway
Guest Ant Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 substitute crouch and voronin for kewell and babel and tell me that team wouldn't have ripped reading apart. I don't understand what you are saying, but I do understand that I would have had no complaints if it was Crouch or Torres, Torres or Voronin, or Torres and any other striker starting today. But when you play a striker like Crouch on the left hand side you really do deserve what you get. I.E Nothing.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Lets not hide behind the ref for this one. Our house wasnt in order.
Guest GrandpaSimpson Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Lets not hide behind the ref for this one. Our house wasnt in order. Exactly. Ref wouldnt even be a factor if we had played the way we know we can.
Guy_Incognito Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 We f***ing battered them. For a bit better luck for us and worse for them then this thread wouldn't exist.
growler Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 we didn't batter them. Also, if we are relying on 'luck' away to reading, our problem are worse than I thought.
Maldini Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Can we ban a few people from posting for 24 hours after a game please? We were the better team by a mile, we could/should/would have won if the ref didn't have a mare in the first half.

Non-penalty aside, that team selection was one-up at half time.

We were the better team by a mile, we could/should/would have won if the ref didn't have a mare in the first half. I must have watched a different game..ref or no ref,Reading were more up for the game and more organised than we were and actually could have won 4-1 with that late chance! Bad result which will surely come back to bite us later on.

We were the better team by a mile, we could/should/would have won if the ref didn't have a mare in the first half.We were not the better team by a country mile. Were we a little unlucky? Yes, but we didn't help ourselves.
anny road Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 we didnt play well today, the formation was done for a reason but i think he got it wrong that aside we did enough to get a point maybe three...we hot the post, the bar the keep has pulled of three v good saves..|We had more shots on and off target and miles more possession second half we conceded two v soft goals they shouldnt have had there pen It was obv that Torres was injured, and by his body language Gerrard looked like he kne he was coming off...
Gunga Din Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 bad day at the office. how we respond in the next two games will be making or breaking of our season.
M4TTA Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 need a BIG convincing performance in the champions league next week!
Guz Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Thought we were f***ing shambolic for many periods of the game to be honest. 433 was fair enough but we lacked nautral width for the whole game and played too narrow as a result of it.
Tetti Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 bad day at the office. how we respond in the next two games will be making or breaking of our season. In one neat little sentence. We are still going to win the league. Oh and Senrab has a loud voice and a poor choice in men
