Huyton_Red Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 I think this is the best Liverpool squad since we last won it under kenny, if we can keep up our away form against Reading next week the manc game the week after could be one of the most significant in years. If we can beat them and lets face it the lads owe us (the fans) a league win against the tw'ats dont they. Look at our next eight league games up until the start of February. Portsmouth H Derby County A Manchester City A Wigan Athletic H Middlesbrough A Aston Villa H West Ham A Sunderland H Now look at Arsenals post December 16th fixtures and lets assume Chelsea can either beat them or get a draw when they play the same day us and the mancs play Chelsea HBlackburn ATottenham HPortsmouth AEverton A F'ck me lads, what an opportunity we have here hey.

Huyton_Red Posted December 3, 2007 Author Posted December 3, 2007 f***'s sake HR. reading>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>marseille>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>mancs. Marseille does not really interest me to be honest League is what I am really into this year As I said at the start of my post, if we can keep up our away form at Reading then the manc game will take on huge significance, especially given than Arsenal will probably be 9 points ahead of us by that weekend (given that they play their game in hand on wednesday) F'ckin huge LEAGUE game for the first time in years Boss and well better than champions league games
Ronnie Whelan Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 I agree. A win against the Mancs could well see us on an un-beaten league run to the start of February, now that is league winning form. Disagree on the CL though, a win there will keep the momentum going from the League and see us through to the knock out stages. Also, CL knock-out stages leaves our new owners with no excuse in the January transfer window.
Des Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Marseille does not really interest me to be honest If you're interested in keeping our current manager, I think it probably should.

Huyton_Red Posted December 3, 2007 Author Posted December 3, 2007 I have not tipped us to win f'ck all.... Just emphasising how big this game against the mancs could potentially be.... Torres make us a completely different team IMO, he is incredibly important to us. Everyone talks about Arsenal 'playing us off the park' at anfield as a reason we will not win the league. We where on a bad run, they where in peak form - and they grabbed an equalizier with ten minutes to go and we did not have torres fit up front I dont fear anyone with us at full strength..... Xabi, Agger and Kewell will be fully fit and raring to go in the new year. Massive game this one against the mancs, f'ckin huge. When was the last time Liverpool won a major league game and laid down a marker for the title
matty Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 It will be a big game. It always is. Fact remains that a win against Reading is worth 3 points too....
Stevie H Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 It will be a big game. It always is. Fact remains that a win against Reading is worth 3 points too.... and mancs at home is one of knox's 7. sutty loves that.

Des Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Your problem being? Getting a bit ahead of yourself, to use an understatement. One game at a time, sweet Jesus.
sutty Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 and mancs at home is one of knox's 7. sutty loves that. We're allowed to lose that one.
The Hitman Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Huyton fecking Jonah strikes again.Give him a cannonball to hold, and chuck him overboard!
Rory Fitzgerald Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Give him a cannonball to hold, and chuck him overboard! ...........and put a peg on his nose. he does make a good point though..........
Guest Anders Honoré Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Torres make us a completely different team IMO, he is incredibly important to us. shut up, ffs!
Gunga Din Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 its this type of gazing ahead that will f*** us over. Reading is a big game, lets concentrate on getting a win there first
Sion Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Reading is a big game, lets concentrate on getting a win there first Is it a must win?
Guest GrandpaSimpson Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Think we need to beat the mancs after only drawing at home to arsenal and chelsea. Going away to those 3 after christmas will be huge games.

sutty Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Is it a must win? If I'm letting us fail to win against the mancs then it is
Rory Fitzgerald Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 if they're the only 3 games we lose, i reckon we'll win it I'll wait for Andy Gray to verify that statement before I believe it !
