dont know, but Gerrard was the best player on the park by a mile, problem with gerrard though is good performances get taken for granted. any other player puts in a performance like Gerrard yesterday and there'd be a half dozen threads about it. the boy is a class act

You can if your team has dominated the entire game up until that point and you come on and turn a clearance from the keeper into the opening goal

Arbeloa was quality I thought.. think he deserved it to be honest... Quality at tackling and brilliant at going forward... could be an unsung hero this season for us.

Arbeloa was decent, but there were at least 4 or 5 players who had better games.for a game we dominated attacking wise, and a game played with very little width, i just dont see how a right back can be seen as the best player on the park. Gerrard, Mascherano, Hyypia, Yossi, Voronin all had better games than Arbeloa

You can be man of the match in 20 minutes - or even 5 minutes. It just depends on how much of an impact you make on the game. Torres made a big impact.

I'm sure he was playing for us - maybe it wasn't Spurs and I'm getting the opposition mixed up. Reading the blurb on his player profile it coudl have been his debut against Southampton - came on as a late sub and turned the game.

had a great game, but he always does if he isnt up against pace. infact, Riise aside, no one had a poor game. riise's entire game, for whatever reason, has gone to s***e over the past 18 months
