That would of been a good result

We might be un-beaten but as I have said we have drew enough games to equate for 2 Losses.

6 Points Dropped

6 Points from top, No Game in hand over the leaders.

Silly Mistakes and team selections are going to cost us this season, we aren't playing like Champions by any stretch of the imagination, Arsenal are. It was sensational to see them play and you can tell the consistancy they know where eachother is they deserve the top spot.

Can't fault the team selection apart from the inclusion of Torres which was a mistake in hind sight. I go back to my original point, it simply is not good enough we have put Un Necessary pressure on ourselves to make up to lost ground thanks to 2 Draws at Home against Teams we should be beating.

It maybe October We have already Jeopardised our league season, we maybe un-beaten but the current leaders are points wise well ahead of us furthermore they are a world away in terms of effort, consistancy and ability.

Oh and we are doing s*** in the other competition as well.

Maybe Next Year

Said the same to my arl man during the game. Drawsa against your rivals are always good results, even at home, but you've got to beat the likes of Brum and Spurs.

Today would have been a fantastic result if we'd got won those two games.

Personally what was concerning about today's result was that we earned a point through sheer hard work and determination rather than good play. Carra saved us numerous times and towards the end we were hanging on and Arsenal you could say may feel a little aggrieved with leaving Anfield with only a point. We are still playing poorly, very little movement upfront and our defending at times was schoolboy stuff.

That's now 9 games and counting since you felt the team had played well. Next game up is Blackburn away and they are now above us courtesy of a win against Spurs today. Blackburn are on fire and have now won six games on the bounce in the League. The way we are playing at the moment, I'm not convinced that we can leave Ewood Park with any points.

Thats whats scares me to be frank, Arsenal could easily go to those places and win, yet I don't even think we can, it's like the past few seasons, all over again

And more points we drop

And further away we drift

And the shorter the patience is with Rafa...

Do you enjoy being negative? Not having a go, you just seem to really relish posting after we've failed to win.

No I'm usually very positive anyone who goes/watches the match with me will tell you the exact same thing.

When we lose it's good to get a few things off your chest, but it isn't knee jerk reactions, the time has now passed, if it hadn't done already where such criticism's can indeed be deemed as knee jerk.

Regarding what I said, I just can't see the difference from this to last season and those before.

Rotation

No Consistancy

No Pattern of Play

It's just the same song on a different sheet.....

You whine a lot for a young man don't you? Right now is'nt the time is it, when your team have just put in a display of real guts

How about posting something positive for a change ?

I'm proud of our team today, damn proud. We've been out of sorts, but that was a great effort, despite losing two of our major players - again

Completely agree

If Alonso had not got injured I'm convinced we would have held on to win, if not got another ourselves.

He's essential to our counter attacks and I agree

Well done, I'm glad you can see the glass is half full

We cannot be dropping points at home thats the underlying matter, we are doing it far to often and in games we should be winning, as I said in the title of the post had we gained a 'cushion' so to speak it wouldn't of been a bad result.

Yes it was a good effort and in the context of the game it was a good result, but in the context of the season so far, is it championship material?

I'm more annoyed that yet again we still have to many so called top class players who can't control or pass the bloody ball.

They can control and pass the ball, it's the off the ball movement that is poor or non-existent which makes them have to do more because the ball carrier/receiver does not have adequate support. And that is down to the coaching.

Oh whatever lad, this forum is doing my head in these last few weeks

Whatever the team, and more especially, Rafa do at the moment is not good enough for so many of our exalted fans on here.

My god, we beat Everton at their hole, in the last minute, the BEST way..........was it unadulterated joy? No, it was just whine, whine, moan, moan

Its not just you, it seems like many just want to have a go, its building up a head of steam against Rafa.

His first crisis, and after all he's done in his short spell here, I'd have thought a bit of support would have been forthcoming, but no, its unremitting criticism, win, lose or draw

Look I'm sorry for thinking 6 Points off Top with piss poor performances for the past few weeks has been acceptable.

I'm sorry for putting forward points where I think it's gone wrong

I'm sorry for crticising the manager despite me having points that allow me to

I'm sorry for having an opinion

I'm sorry for thinking league wise we are no different to where we where last season

we done ok today, arsenal are a class team who are probably the best footballing team in the world at the moment, far better than the manc scum (but they wouldnt admit it)

when they attacked there was at least 2, sometimes 3 or 4 of their players in close proximity of the player who had the ball, all asking for it, our players were static when we attacked, usually it was a long ball pass or a lung busting stevie g run.........we need to get back to basics with our passing game

We did and some of the nonsense written on here is unbelievable.

I'm beginning the think people aren't going to be happy until Rafa is sacked. Then we really WILL be in a crisis.

I dont think people want Rafa sacked, just airing there views, I really think are problem is we need a coach ASAP as Rafa`s seems to be taking control of everything.

You cant do it all yourself as he seems to be doing. Hope someone points this out at the club.

I'm not going to happy until Rafa bucks up his ideas

Given our recent well documented problems I thought Rafa got his team and tactics spot on today. We played really well under the circumstances and were pretty close to getting a win against arguably the best side in the country. I for one can't compalin too much tonight.
