I have been invited to Old Trafford today for United v Chelsea. Do I want either of them to win? In view of last week's ructions at Stamford Bridge, maybe I should favour Chelsea as United are more of a threat now.

 

The best outcome would of course be some serious injuries on both sides, plus a couple of genuine fist-fights, and so many red cards that the referee is eventually forced to abandon the match.

I was at OT for the FA Cup Semi Final against Chelsea. You would have thought that it was difficult to do much damage to a stadium, but our lads certainly excelled at it. I was actually quite ashamed.

An empty threat, as I retire at the end of next week anyway!

 

I don't work for a brewery but coincidentally one of my fellow invitees worked for Thwaites.

 

The game started brightly but was ruined by the totally unnecessary sending-off. It's that OT effect again. Still the lunch was good.
