cymrococh Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldown/N...070801-1727.htm German starlet Marvin Pouriez scored twice as Liverpool Under-18s continued their impressive pre-season form when they beat Carlisle United 4-1 at the Academy on Wednesday afternoon. Michael Collins and trialist Demitrius Lawrence scored the Reds other goals. Liverpool Under-18s have now scored eight goals in two games after their 4-1 win over Plymouth Argyle last weekend. Coach Hughie McAuley told Liverpoolfc.tv: "It was a very good performance from the boys and we could have scored a lot more than the four we got, but the Carlisle goalkeeper was excellent. "Marvin took his goals very well and we were able to give all of the squad a game which was the most important thing." I don't think I need to tell anyone that we HAVE to sign Demetrius Lawrence.
Cobs Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 I don't think I need to tell anyone that we HAVE to sign Demetrius Lawrence. Welsh, is he?
Maldini Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 We can't have Jack Hobbs and Demetrius Lawrence in the same team, the world will fall off it's axis.
cymrococh Posted August 2, 2007 Author Posted August 2, 2007 I would love it, LOVE IT, if he did a Godwin and only had Demetrius on his shirt.
Rich Gobey Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Leto should only have 'SABASTIAN' on the back of his shirt as well.
jimmylibel Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Leto should only have 'SABASTIAN' on the back of his shirt as well. Speaking of whom... Sebastian Leto has been given permission to make his Liverpool debut during this weekend's Port of Rotterdam tournament. The Reds face Shanghai Shenua on Friday and then Feyenoord on Sunday as they complete their pre-season preparations. Argentinian left sided player Leto has endured a frustrating wait to get his Liverpool career underway but manager Rafael Benitez has confirmed he will figure over the next few days. "He will be able to play in Holland," confirmed Benitez today. "Leto will travel with the squad and we have permission to play him in these games. "It's good news for him because it's not easy when you're only training. You want to play in the games." The Reds will train as normal on Thursday before flying out to Holland on Friday morning. "We will travel to Holland on Friday because we don't need the players to go too early and this will allow us to train as normal today," explained Benitez. "The main idea is prepare as well as possible for the first Premiership game against Aston Villa." Link
wacko Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Wasn't Demetrius the bad guy in A Midsummer Night's Dream? Why'd you name your kid after that prat?
