le Tallec - whats happening with him?. Or we looking at letting him go?

I don't think he did anything too special last season (the basis of this is that if he had done, I'm sure we would have heard about it.) Doesn't exactly look like anyone is desperate to take him off our hands.

Indeed it wouldn't surprise me if those people who thought they saw Torres at Anfield last week actually saw Le Tallec skulking around (those 2 do look somewhat alike)

Good point that, they do a bit.

Torres and Le Tallec up front would be a strange sight

They'd end up marking Le Tallec coz they'd think he was Torres! Rafa is the master of disguise!

Le Tallec scored 7 goals in 29(14+15) matches for Sochaux last season.

When Sochaux won the French Cup final he scored one goal and set up the other.

That is impressive... Sign him. We can't have too many strikers. And he is the new Zidane.

29 starts is quite low, was he injured?

14 starts, I`m not sure if he was injured or not.

where was he playing for Sochaux? was it as a striker or attacking midfielder?

I had such high hopes for that lad (based on one spin and through ball away at Blackburn, and that alone) would love it if he came good

playing as a target man. wasn't a regular and didn't score many goals, although i think he got a few important ones in their cup run.

EDIT: retreading some old ground i see. apologies.

Don't know how reliable the source is though..

as unreliable as they get.

As for Le Tallec, I just can't see Rafa wanting to keep him, regardless of how he did last season. He's been the petulant kid, and he's already been given that 2nd chance from Rafa when he brought him back from loan 2 years ago. And he really isn't all that anyway.
