..that know how to play against us.

We owe Manchester United a tonking, and even though they beat us last week, they would be more scared of us than the other way around. I also believe we have the measure of Chelsea as well. Arsenal though are a completely different kettle of fish when they play us.

couldn't give a chit from our prespective, why would we even lower ourselves to fearing a team who have got beyond the quarter finals in the CL the grand total of once in 10 years. They wouldn't know how to play against us in Europe.

The 2 cup wins this season have been over stated an all. It was as much Dudek, and then an inexpericed defence in the league cup, as it was them.

This is my own personal view and not a collective one. Dudek can carry the can if you like, but they beat us 3-0 at home and we both had a strong teams out.

For all the praise that is heaped upon Arsenal I think their play is rather one dimensional. I can't say I enjoy watching them play that much.

I'm happy that Arsenal are out because I hate them.

what I hate is the media love in re Arsenal.

In the end for all their "babies" and "pretty football" they have less to play for than we do

The average age of the Arsenal team may be 23 but ours is prob 25 so I don't get the "Wengers Babies" things

It's good for us because we get more CL TV money now that they're out

GPWM :)

I'm glad to see the back of them because they've had our measure this season, regardless of team selection or Jerzy having a mare, remember we had a full team and Pepe in goal at the Emirates when the feckers done us 3-0.

I was glad they were out cos i hate Wenger and his moaning. But i hadnt even thought about the extra money for us. makes it all the better!

That young? Think we're probably closer to 27 myself...

Reina - 24

Finnan - 30

Carra - 29

Agger - 22

Riise - 26

Gerrard - 26

Alonso - 25

Sissoko - 22

Luis Garcia - 28

Bellamy - 27

Kuyt - 26

Average - pretty much bang on 26. Would come down a bit if you played Gonzalez, Pennant or Aurelio instead of Luis too.

Last night they had the likes of Lehman, Silva, Lunjberg, Gallas starting as well as Toure and Helb who ain't young inexperienced players either, they are pretty experienced internationals. And one of their 'kids' Fabregas is a regular and one of their best players anyway.

On Tuesday we had the likes of Alvaro and Pepe at 24 years old, Sissoko and Agger are young, Xabi isn't on his pension either. And subs like Mascherano and Pennant aren't exactly getting old.

The Kids thing is a convenient excuse to hide their weakness especially in Europe now. They have plenty of experience there as well - like a lot of teams basically - us included, they had the balance of experience with some younger players thrown in.

Footballing rule #87 - Arsenals average age is always "not including the goalkeeper", other teams include the GK.

Its not jus tthat, the "kids" are expensive internationals for the most part. And how the hell is baptista a kid?. Its one of those footballing myths. They dont play the best football in the league either. They used to a few years back but this year man utd have. Arsenal have been extremely 1 demensional and quite boring.

Me too and Wenger is a prick. This time it was Chelseas fault that they lost.

Btw, this is the same Gorge as on Koptalk isn't it? Used to hang there as well, "Rednose" says hello.. :)

oh aye, I forgot about Baptista, he goes in the list with Gallas, Hleb, Lundberg etc etc that they had playing. The only inexperienced starters they had last night was Denilson and Glichy really. Plus they had a certain Terry Henry on the bench, although he is crocked.

woah wheres all this Arsenal hate coming from?

People are almost coming across as jealous in the topic.

I don't mind them at all personally. Any team that beats us convincingly 3 times out of 3 deserves a bit of praise in my opinion. And they do have a very young squad - anyone that argues against that is crazy, yes they've got some experienced players, but that still doesn't hide the fact they have a hell of a lot of good players under the age of 24 who took em to the Carling Cup final.

Quite like Arsenal really apart from them beating us. Find their fans alright aswell, and I don't think you can knock Wenger really as he's done a good job there, won them the league and got them to a european cup final. He's also got a very good eye for good young players. On the other had though, Henry is a bit of a nob.

Just because the media go on about Arsenal's young team doesn't mean they're having a pop at us.

Woah Koller, no need to be touchy! Its ok for you to like, doesn't mean we all have to follow suit you know ;)

Nothing much to be jealous of with them at the moment is there.

Apart from the fact that their average first team age is higher than ours?

When did I say we didn't have a good young squad?

I just dunno why everyone is comparing us to them, like its some kind of competition.

Ultimately their "young side" has cost them their season, and as Benitez (the poster) says there isn't anything really to be jealous of - I just dunno why it bothers people that Arsenal have good young players, and then gets annoyed that the media recognise this. The media recognise Sissoko and Agger etc aswell. It isn't just one big witch hunt to put us down.

Because calling Arsenal "the babies" is ridiculous.
