I can't remember being this bad, which is probably why I didn't enjoy it as much as I should.

Fantastic aggregate score against what is without question the best club side in the world. The one disappointing thing is that I do feel they were there to be taken and a mixture of bad luck and a nervousness stopped us from making it a home win. Our ball retention wasn't great in the 2nd half, but I'm sure it's difficult in the circumstances.

Carra was outrageously good and we've found our new Sami in Dan Agger. Finnan was good and why isn't Arbeloa in contention every week?

We definitely need quality out wide and a less industrious striker who's interst is only to run off the shoulder ad cause problems in the last third.

Overall, f'ck'n briliant, I'm sure it'll sink in and I'll be happy as hell tomorrow.

i was more nervous against chelsea to be honest. now it was bad for 20 minutes, chelsea game was on edge for longer. we were excellent tonight, absolutely great performance. only negatives not scoring and pennant didnt really do well coming on for bellamy, but it was a great night and a well deserved win.

Sick to the gut, it was the utd game all over. Surprisingly the Chelsea semi wasnt nearly as nervous.Laughed when Gudjohnson missed that shot, that seemed like it was our night and chelsea wouldnt be able to do anything.

Was more nervous against Chelsea in the semi.

 

jesus ya, i was terrified against chelsea.. they were far better than barca were tonight. To be honest Barca should have been ha;f way home by the time the 2nd half kicked off. Liverpool didnt finish them off at all and were unlucky not too.. I wont give out about the finishing because it was touch and go and the chips didnt fall ni our favour... however they will need to be more confident in future.

 

still the important thing is, the defending champions are out and we did it. We are yet again a force in europe ad any team drawn against us has something to fear. I hope we draw milan. I think we will cream them this time... let there be no more talk of luck ... let them fall by our sword once more, on our way to the CL title for the 2nd time in 3 years. we'd genuinely be the best team in europe then, league this or league that.

hey man, i turned it off and went to itv after a few minutes... my friend who isnt even a liverpool fan phoned me after to laugh and complain about Houghton. That guy is an utter tool.. people in the UK think that sky and its minions are bad but this guy is biased for the sake of it and it makes me sick... he has nothing good to say about liverpool and when he does its always along the lines of "I dont understand how liverpool won with the tactics that rafa has used, i really dont"... that guy is a completely mindless fool who thinks he'd have done this and that .. what a f***in assw*****

That wasn't nerve wracking at all apart from the last 10/15 minutes. T'was comfortable. Pieceaspiss.

 

People are forgetting Chelsea and Juve and Biscan et al a little too quickly for me. At least we are playing players that the manager seems to trust.

They seemed to have based their opinions on the last 20mins instead of the whole game. Sure as Bill OH pointed out, we could have been 3-0 up at halftime.

 

Giles wasn't as bad as Brady or Dunphy as they were unbelievable for showing their animosity against Liverpool.

Thought it was pretty comfortable until they scored and even after, wasn't too bad.

 

Chelsea was so much worse, as was extra time in the final.
