Caller on 5 live last night said Ferguson appladed the kop and pointed at us saying "you're the greatest".

Can't see him saying that - the mancs will be made up.

Heard that soft T**T driving home from match, he said also, after all the years of supporting us, he has a new outlook on the C***ts, we even applauded Scholes off, all I remember was Cheerio Cheerio Cheeriooo

Yeah its true. He also put a Liverpool shirt on and started leading the Kop in a rendition of Scouser Tommy before being joined by Gary Neville and Bobby Charlton for an emotional You'll Never Walk Alone.

Fantastic. What a lovely attempt at unifying the two bitter North-West rivals. I applaud them all for this, I really do. Maybe we'll see the lovely Gary on a night out down Slater Street sometime soon doing his bit for Scouse-manc relations.

Makes me fill up, I'm so emotional.

:D

He did say we were brillliant in the game though. Had O'Shea not scored I'll bet he would have just whined about the peno on Saha.

Perhaps he knows it's his last game as a manager at Anfield.

I also heard Gary Neville donated his wages to the HJC...

I met Bobby Charlton on a flight to London after the game, told him his team were damned lucky today and he could only agree. They know they were fortunate to win. I hope they enjoy the points, it's the last they will get off us for a while.

Besides we have just got to end up playing them IF we get past Barca in the later rounds and I'll take a victory then over Saturday anyday.

Face it Ferguson is a top bloke, appreciates what the game is about and what it means to the fans which is why he shows his appreciation to the Kop unlike the w***** moaniho and his shush guesture.

It's always possible he'll quit if they win the title this season. It'd be a smart move on his part.

Only if we win the CL

That is a bit silly. Of course we enjoy the points. This was a game we were expected to lose. We needed the points to stay 6 ahead of Chelsea. You may be proved wrong if we draw you in the CL.

Our record is not to bad at your place, lucky or not.

You don't believe that.

I spend quite some time on here. I believe everything you lot tell me. Honest.

Some quotes from another Liverpool forum. This is taken from Redcafe. It shouldnt be in this thread I know, but it seems all Liverpool fans are upset.

From the forum Red and White Kop Forum (Link)

Most of the posters on that forum just couldn't comprehend what had just happened.

If we went to Old Trafford and lined up like that, 10 men behind the ball, no attempt to win the game, we'd be vilified in the press. Disgusting!

Don't these f*****s remember Houllier and his awful tactics? That's all they used to do when they travelled to Old Trafford or Highbury. 10 men behind the ball, nick a goal. Shove more men behind the ball to bore the opposition and see out the game.

Yeah right. They'd do anything to win the league.

Yeah we're a SMALL team. A team 19 points ahead of Liverpool.

However, there were a few people who made sense.

I am absolutely gutted but I have to hand it to them. They are worthy champions. They are a lot better than us. They get one chance and win. And thats how you win the league.

We look like also-rans against them. They are clinical. And we are very, very far from that.

Money needs to be spent on this team as right now we don't have the bottle or the skill to win the league

My favourite one is this.
