While I understand Sissoko will always get more yellow cards than Rio Ferdinand while the latter is given freedom to kick all over the back the players he marked.

I want to see Sissoko play every minute and I want to see Alonso and Gerrard along him too. Maybe Gerrard can adapt a right midfield role while Rafa's strength are clearly the wingers.

i have no idea wether this is true or not but I get a feeling that we may go 3-5-2 next term.....if so then all three could play....if he goes for Alves or similar..then Finnan will have a real challenge (which is good)...we may need another Centre Half, and a left back.....although i have been impressed by Aurelio recently......

as I said I am just guessing

Watching Momo yesterday was quite frustrating actually. Great athlete, always in the opposition's face but he doesn't contribute anywhere near enough to us going forwards. Gerrard was working hard but not being given the ball in dangerous areas which Xabi can do for him. I agree with a few posters who think we might play 3-5-2 next term because Momo next to one other makes us far less effective in the other half of the pitch.

We will do but not in every game,it will depend on who we play and where we play them, Rafa wans us to have, how you say, 'many possibilities'. ;)

whilst it was great to have him back in the side yesterday, he did not add very much to the performance.

it was his first game back in a long while and those conditions were not ideal.

he still needs to work on his passing.

1st game back

give him a break ffs

i am giving him a break. I do not think he should have started the game yesterday given the conditions, same applies to Zenden.

however, the suspension of Alonso , the loss of Gonzalez and injury to Aurelio forced Rafa to have Sissoko and Zenden in the side.

I've noticed a problem with Momo, and that is the team dominating games and getting beat. We never had a really great run of wins till Alonso/Gerrard played in centre midfield.

Like the derby last weekend that we dominated and never won?

I guess last season when we got our highest ever Premiership points total with Sissoko in central mid for near enough the whole season must of been a fluke or something then. f*** sake, if you're going to whinge at least do it about something that actually exists, dont just make stuff up to moan. I despair.

I think the big winning run we had was more to do with the fixtures than the fact that Momo was injured.

He does need to add something to his passing and attacking play, but he was actually getting forward yesterday (i.e. it has his nice little pass that put Bellamy through when Bellamy hit the crossbar...)

Whilst I would agree with you regarding mosts games, was it not Sissoko who played Bellamy through for him to miss a couple of times?

i just hope he doesn't get mentally affected by the dislocated arm thing and doesn't hang back from challenges.. the bustle and closing down was a big part of his game, hopefully he will get back to that.

He was flying all over the place mate, he was loving it.

It was indeed Momo who fed that lovely pass thru to Bellamy. I thought Sissoko played well yesterday and had Bellamy, Kuyt and Bolo finished off the glorious chances they had we'd all have been talking about what a successful return to the team Momo had made.
