Dan Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 I notice shareholders are being offered season tickets at the new ground as an incentive to sell. I've been on the waiting list for over 10 years now, and although i'm on the PTS, I would still prefer a ST. Does anybody know if they were going to issue some new ones with the new ground?

Does anybody know if they were going to issue some new ones with the new ground?Just out of interest, are you waiting for a single, double or a Dad and Lad?The reason I ask - I have been on for 7 yrs for a Dad and lad. If you are waiting for a single for 10 yrs .... I'm fooked!!
AE Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 I have been on the list 6 years for a single if that helps. Was hoping to go for a dad and lad in the new stadium in the hope they had sorted out all the **** by then (proper transfer of tickets rather than "passed to mates" etc, etc, etc....)
Cunny Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 the rumours (and I stress rumours!) I have heard is that the season ticket allocation will not be significantly increased in the new stadium. ST holders spend less in the club shop and on food/drinks etc..., so they want to get more non-ST people in the ground. could be nonsense
Dan Posted February 8, 2007 Author Posted February 8, 2007 I think i'm down for a double so that may be hindering my chances. I asked for 2 ST's but didn't state that they needed to be together, i wander if they take that as a given. Hope not. Trouble is the sh*tehawks at the ticket office can't tell me where i am on the list, its a complete ballache to get anything out of them on the matter.

Mike Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 they'd neve make it 100% season tickets but it'll be somehting like 70% i reckon
charlie clown Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 I signed up for a double about 8 years back but I took the precaution of not asking for a lad/dad ticket cause I half expected that by the time I qualified for them, the lad in question would no longer qualify for a lad ticket. And I was right.
Big E Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 11 years for me now. Apparently there's none been waiting 12 so I'm hoping the new stadium will mean i finally get one! 11 years of ringing the TO for every game

Huyton_Red Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 I hope they use the 15,000 extra seats to put the waiting list to bed once and for all and sell all the extra seats as season tickets There must be loads of people on that list who either dont want a ticket anymore or have moved addresses Big thing for me is the fact that now, everyone who wants a season ticket should be able to have one. Thats what I have always wanted The atmosphere will improve as well as they should allow you to all sit together when you buy new season tickets in the ground the rumours (and I stress rumours!) I have heard is that the season ticket allocation will not be significantly increased in the new stadium. ST holders spend less in the club shop and on food/drinks etc..., so they want to get more non-ST people in the ground. could be nonsense It is Club shop spend is considerably less than a guaranteed £700 per year from 15,000 people (£10.5 million a year), they wont risk having 20,000 empty seats for midweek league games against sh'te teams for club shop spending The extra seats will all go to season ticket holders IMO, dont forget as well as the 61,000 seats the new ground will also have a huge increase in corporate space and boxes
Falconhoof Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 I've been doubtful all along that i'll get a season ticket when the new ground is built. They'll want to keep a large portion of the extra seats for corporates and the waiting list will still be there. Hope i'm wrong.

Corporates will be catered for with the huge increase in boxes, as well as a lot more resteraunt/bar space etc There will be boxes on both sides of the new ground, with custom built resteraunts etc attached to each side Extra seats will all go to season tickets IMO
Maldini Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 How do you go about getting on the list? has it closed?
Falconhoof Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 How do you go about getting on the list? has it closed? I just wrote to the ticket office about 5 or 6 years ago asking for season tickets. they wrote back about a week later saying none were available but i'll be informed when they are. I think it was a standard letter they send out.
Boca Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 How do you go about getting on the list? has it closed? Go to the ticket section of the offal and there is a section on how to join the waiting list.
Maldini Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Thanks, probably can't afford one now, but maybe in a few years I will
Huyton_Red Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 I dont think it will be neccessary to join the list now to be honest, I am hopefull everyone who wants a season ticket will get one in the new ground but you never now, we might win the league or something before the ground opens and it goes ballistic with everyone wanting season tickets
Big E Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 The Club have a list, and you have to request to be added. It's stored in a magical book in a land behind a wardrobe
IgPig Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 (edited) I've been on for a few years. I reckon the list is mythical. As someone said, if they do keep details I imagine half of it is out of date. Especially pre fan-card (did they combine the existing list with fan card details when that started?) Wouldn't be surprised to see them disregard the list and use some other method to allocate the new season tickets available for the new ground (number of matches attended since introduction of fan card or something like that) Edited February 8, 2007 by Post Kuytal Glow
BG Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 I've been on it ten years. I've written to them three times recently telling them I've changed address and asking to confirm I remain on/roughly how many more years etc. Not even an acknowledgement of my letters. Brilliant.

This is my issue, they don't get back to you. I ended up sending a letter to Parry after numerous knock backs from the ticket office. I got a response saying i was still on the list....think this was about 2 years ago. I now need to write about a change of address and will also ask them about the issue of the new ground. Its worth a try.
Guest lfc84 Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Confirmed details: "Season Tickets at Anfield continue to be in high demand with over 50,000 supporters now on a waiting list to obtain a guaranteed seat for FA Premier League matches. With Season Ticket sales continuing to be capped at 27,000 the Club is able to offer over 30% of the stadium capacity (45,362) to non season ticket holders and non Priority Ticket Scheme Members." http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/club/ccreport06.htm
Logic Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 If there are 50k people waiting for a season ticket then why didn't we apply for making the stadium bigger?
