Another change of players in the team

Another formation

Another clean sheet

Another trouncing of a chit team who we should beat anyway

A resumption of the routinely sceptical/pessimistic/wildy optimistic (pick yours) perspective on here

Another season of Jam Next Year

just what we needed today. a performance to give the critics nowt to moan about, 3 goals from our strikers, a defeat of a cr@ppy team in less than ideal conditions and NO more injuries.

my day started out great as I love the really early kick offs, no more nervous anticipation waiting for the game to start.

It's good we won this game but it proves nothing. We should beat Watford 99 times out of 100. The real test is next game against CFC.

humbug!!!!!!! :bleh::bleh:

let's enjoy the 3 points today at least. we can start worrying about the Chavs later in the week.

Absolutely. However, a draw or loss would have been a serious jolt.

True, but you don't get more points for beating Chelsea than Watford

Posted

not you as well. :D

so, who is going to win later, Ravens or Colts, Eagles or Saints?

Ravens and Saints I'd say, but anything's possible.

:)

In a sense you do, as it takes points from a team you're trying to catch.

Except you don't

Prevent them gaining them, then. We're able to close the gap on them and not rely on others.

Yep, beating the Chavs next week really would put the cat among the pigeons.

Not beat them in the league in like 15 attempts, but yeah, piece of piss that'll be ;)

4-0 to the reds

I know the theory

3 points is 3 points is 3 points

I think it's great result for us in that everyone non-Liverpool was obviously desperate for us to lose (including the Sky commentators by all accounts).

Watford were, and are pretty s****, but given that the Mancs and Arsenal both only just won there, and that today was Watford's first home defeat by more than 1 goal, I think it's a pretty good day...

Aye, it was a good win that

They were awful though

By 15 do you actually mean 5?

Which would be the truth

so was that Young character any good ? worth the 9m price tag ?

Barely noticed him apart from one time in the scond half when he shanked it into the crowd good and proper

If they win 36, we win 36 then what we take from them settles it. Hence why the games against them are worth more, even if the same number of points are awarded. We beat them next week and we're 5 behind, lose and we're 11 behind. I know that in the narrow sense we only get 3 points, but there is much more value than that.

Not forgetting our youth FA cup win over the Chavs which means our youngsters aren't as s**** as "the pundits" were making out.
