Is the lack of height in our team hurting us ?

All three not exactly doing what they were bought to do either.

what we've lost in height we've gained in pace. in theory that should give us more 'possibilities'. those three signings have yet to bed in successfully, but there's still time this season for them to get it together.

Crouch is possibly the worst headers of the ball we have. My point was that we have lost three six footers and gained three midgets, OK.

can't remember that nando goal

 

if you're going to look back - bellamy, pennant and gonzalez made more of an impact last season than nando, didi and cisse (though he did score a few). as for this season, well didi & cisse haven't figured. nando's doing well, but had to go back to spain to recapture his form.

 

i think we were right to let those three go, they weren't going to take us any further forward this season. the new lads have the potential to turn things round yet.

We have a lot of players out at the moment, including some who give us both soilidity and a creative edge. We still bossed the game tonight against a team that came to defend and hope to sneak one late on if poss - despite us being on the strings of our undies and using stiffs to fill the gaps.

 

Not what we want, but circumstances are not running with us either.

As summaries go, I think that about sums things up very accurately.

 

One other thing that i'd add is that, Gerrard apart, we do everything at walking pace and we struggle so badly to inject some pace when it is needed.

Kev, what use was Hamann from a corner? Or Cisse? I dont remember either winning headers in either box.

 

Nando, I remember the fulham header, however I remember some good headers defending corners as well.

Oh I hate him but that's part of his genius. He winds absolutely everyone up and Bolton use that brilliantly to their advantage. We love a high horse though.

 

Bellamy should be doing for us what Diouf does for Bolton.

Carra lashed a pound coin into the crowd. It's deemed more noble but it probably isn't. Cantona launched a drop kick into the crowd. Gary Neville booted a ball into a supporter's face.

 

Diouf's a right c***, even a right sissy c*** (and f*** knows what he was like off the pitch) but we all say we want a nastier team. Well you have to take everything that comes with it. And right now I'd take every piece of s*** El-Hadji's pulled out the bag this season to have his quality this season at right midfield.
