It seems his opportunities to play with Crouch/Kuyt being the preferred partnership will be limited. I wondered if he had ever played out wide with the speed he has. I seem to remember seeing him playing more on the wing for the Barcodes. He might offer some pace down the wings and a little more battle than Gonzalez or Pennant.

Which 'supposedly' was why he fell out with Souness, him not wanting to do so.

Playing him out on the wing was why he had the big bust-up with Souness.

Why ? We played Cisse and Heskey out wide when their preferred postition was up-front ... surely we have learnt our lesson by now.... kinda of a waste of money we don't have trying to convert strikers into wingers plus when we are short of scoring forwards

nothjing to do with Souness man management skills then?

lets face it, neither of them came out of that with glory, and Bellamy might have grown up since then

At this moment in time, I would think Bellamy would play right back if it meant a start

I think he will start Sat

Would love to see him out wide atm, going into a 3 up front when need be.

Thats where I think he's best. Coming in from wide and running at players. I know he had an issue with Souness at Newcastle playing wide but if he was honest with himself it's where he's best.

Look at Kuyt tonight. He's never in the bloody box but always pulling out wide.

How about this...

----------Sissoko

-----Gerrard----Alonso(allowed to go forward)

Bellamy----------------Kuyt

------------Crouch

Swap Alonso and Sissoko first of all. Sissoko isn't a holding player.

nothing for you to see here Harris...move along

i think we should play carra up front. he has battling qualities and on CM 08 he's got 20 stats on ambidextrousness.

He plays wideish for Wales, he f*cked Liechtenstein up big time from the left last night.

jesus. the ultimate back handed compliment.

even his own are turning against him.
